Step 1: Lead-in Invite ss look at some pictures about 3-D or 4-D films and ask them what’s the differences between these 3-D or 4-D films and those ordinary ones to introduce Virtual reality. Go on show them several pictures where the technology of VR is used.

Ask ss “How much do you know about virtual reality?” and show some introduction to ss about it.

Step 2: prediction Encourage ss to predict what the article will mainly talk about according to the title Not just watching a film… in the form of mind map.

Step 3: Skimming

Ss go through some pictures about 3-D or 4-D films to get to know the technology of VR.

Ss predict the main idea of the article to arouse their interest in the topic of VR.

Ss go through the article and try to summarize the main idea of the article by

paying attention to the first and last paragraph.

Ss decide the genre of the article and get to know the the characteristics of a business presentation.
