一、教材分析

本课教材为外研社《英语》（新标准）（三年级起点）五年级下册Module2 Unit2 Mr Li was a teacher. 本单元的话题是描述某人过去到现在的变化。本单元的课文介绍了Mr Li 和Chen Hai的故事。Mr Li 二十年前是一名语文教师，Chen Hai是他的学生，学习很用功。现在，Mr Li退休了，Chen Hai 成为了一名英语教师，而Mr Li成为了他的学生。通过第一模块和第二模块第一单元的学习，学生对一般过去时的运用并不陌生，理解起来也不困难。教学中教师要帮助学生继续巩固和归纳一般过去时的相关知识，运用一般过去时来描述某人过去到现在的变化。本单元共用1.5课时完成。（有些内容本课没完成）

二、学情分析

五年级学生的年龄在十一到十二岁左右，虽然处于高年级学段，但仍然活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维和抽象思维相结合，对游戏、竞赛等活动感兴趣，同时他们有着极强的求知欲和表现欲。根据学生的心理特点课堂上我设计了一些游戏活动、竞赛等激发学生学习英语的兴趣，鼓励他们大胆说、积极做、认真想！

通过第一单元的学习，相信学生在这一单元的学习中能够很好地完成本课的学习任务，从而达成本模块的学习目标，能够运用所学语言来描述某人从过去到现在的学习、生活、和工作等的变化。

三、教学目标

1、语言知识

⑴全体学生能运用句型：Mr Li was a teacher. Now Mr Li doesn’t work.描述某人过去到现在的变化。

⑵全体学生能理解词汇：studied, hard. ⑶全体学生能运用词汇：studied. ⑷部分学生能运用词汇：hard. 2、语言技能

⑴全体学生能听懂：Mr Li was a teacher. Now Mr Li doesn’t work.

⑵全体学生能说：Mr Li was a teacher. Now Mr Li doesn’t work. ⑶全体学生能朗读课文，阅读相关短文。

⑷全体学生能按要求完成语句书写。

3、情感态度

⑴乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语，积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务。

⑵意识读书的重要性，活到老，学到老。

4、文化意识

感受中外名人过去和现在的变化。

四、教学重、难点

1、重点

⑴正确使用“Mr Li was a teacher.”“Now Mr Li doesn’t work.”谈论某人的变化。

⑵能用本模块所学的动词过去式简单描述某人过去到现在的变化。

2、难点

能够在实际生活中灵活的运用本课的词汇和句型谈论人物过去和现在的变化。

六、教学过程

（一）热身导入Warm-up and lead in（5分钟）

1. Greetings:

【设计意图】由chant调动学生的学习积极性，激发学生学习的兴趣，并为Free talk做铺垫。

Li Wei changed a lot. Today we are going to talk about the changes of Li Wei(Mr Li) and Chen Hai. And then we will talk about the changes of our friends, families or role models.(PPT 5) 【设计意图】运用PPT向学生直观地展示出本课的学习目标和学习任务，让学生清楚地了解本课的学习目的。

回答问题的同事及时板书。

【设计意图】教师给回答正确的小组加分，既可以及时对学生的回答做出一个评价，也可以调动学生的学习积极性。

4. Look at the blackboard and practise the sentences. 5. Grammar.(PPT8) ⑴Students try to summarize the grammar, then the teacher helps the students.

⑵Do some exercises.(PPT9) 【设计意图】先让学生根据板书总结语法，再由教师出示PPT总结本课语法，系统地对本课的语法进行梳理，通过几道练习题，使学生能够更好的理解及运用本课语法。

【设计意图】通过游戏，缓解紧张的学习氛围，在游戏中学习，在学习中游戏。

（五）任务完成
