一、Teaching contents: P24-P25 Read Trees
二、Teaching aims:
1. The Ss can grasp the three -skill words: hill/ air/ wet/ more/ country and the phrase-cut down;

Step 1 Warm-up
1. Greetings: Good morning, boys and girls.
2. Cards: trees
(1) T: What are they? S: They are trees.
(2) Say something about trees. (big/ green /strong/ tall)
3. Lead-in: Today let’s know more about trees. Lesson 4 Trees
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1. First reading:
(1) (CAI 1出示P24 的图片)第一幅图片:What can you see in the picture? What are they doing? (plant trees)
Where do they plant trees? (TPR: on the hills / go up to the hills )
In which season? On which day? (3.12 Tree Planting Day)
(适时板书Tree Planting Day / go up to the hills/ plant trees)
2. Second reading:
(1) T: Trees are our friends. They are good. Now look at your books , listen to the tape and line down “What can trees do for us?”
T—S1/ S2 / S3 /S4 (教师适时贴卡片)
(make the air clean / get food from trees/ make the people healthy / make our country more beautiful)
(2) (CAI 2 ) Listen, underline and answer :
What can trees do for us? S1/ S2
3. Third reading:
T: Trees are our good friends, what should we do? (Yes, protect them.)
(1) But now people are doing bad things to them. What is it? (TPR cut down)
(2) T: Is it good? Why? (great changes 板书)
(3) ( CAI 3) (Read paragraph 3 and find out )What are the great changes? (CAI 4) 出示重点句子朗读:It will be too cold or too wet in some places. It will be too hot or too dry in other places. (3)T: Oh, how terrible. What should we do then?(板书plant more trees)
3. (CAI 5) Listen and follow the tape.
