Lesson 14 Are You Short or Tall? 教学目标:
1. 知识目标:四会掌握How tall are you? I’m ____metres tall. 三会掌握How tall is ___ ? ____ is tall / short ?
2.能力目标:能用How tall are you? I’m ____ metres tall.句型和小伙伴们进行交流,使他们在现实生活中能够灵活运用所学知识。
3.情感目标:关注学生的学习,培养学生乐学、好学的精神。
教学重点:
四会掌握How tall are you? I’m ____metres tall.
教学难点:
身高的表达方法。
教具:
录音机、卷尺、记录表格、图片
教学过程:
1.Greeting
Teacher: Hello, boys and girls.
Class: Hello.
Teacher: How are you?
Class: Fine, thanks. How are you?
Teacher:Fine, thank you. How old are you?
Class: I’m ten years old.
Teacher:How tall are you?
Class: I’m 1.3 metres tall.
(Write the sentences on the blackboard.) “Point”, say it, please. (通过孩子们与老师对话练习,温故而知新,既复习了以前学过的知识,有引出了本课的重点知识,过渡自然、流畅,使孩子们在对话中就能掌握新句型)
2.Show some numbers: 5.1, 7.6, 3.9, 22.8, 8.56, 64.319, 0.8
3.Show a ruler. 0.8metres 0.8m 1m
4. Show some students .
How tall are you? I’m 1.3metres tall.
How tall am I? You are 1.65 metres tall.
I am tall,you are short.
How tall is he? He is1.5metres tall.
How tall is she? She is1.35metres tall.
He is tall,she is short.
5. Show some pictures. T: How tall is it(horse)? S1: It’s 1.6 metres tall. S2:How tall is it (monkey)? S3:It’s 1.1 metres tall. T: Oh, the horse is tall and the monkey is tall. Say it, please.
6. Guess. How tall is the dog/rabbit/sheep…? S: It’s ____ metres tall. The ____ is tall and ____ is short.
7. Group work , make a chart then tell the class.

式让孩子们通过问答的形式互相了解、交流,培养他们的互助合作意识。)
