一、Teaching Goals in this lesson

2. The student can talk freely about The Present Continuous Tense after finishing this lesson.

3.Develop the students’interests in studying English by helping them speak English as much as possible.

五、Teaching procedures

Step1. Warm-up

The teacher and students greet each other。(课前师生对话,拉近教师与学生的距离,营造宽松和谐的氛围。)

Step2. Create situation and review the old knowledge . (5min. Two parts) 2.Pass my test to review the present participle change rules of verbs. In this step, Create a situation, the teacher asks Ss “Did y ou ever travel by train?”then teacher says “Ok!I have an idea. If you pass my test. Y ou can go to Beijing by train with me. Ok?”

T:Thefirst test is about the present participle change rules of verbs.

The way we read is the same as usual. When it has special change, please clap your hands. Clear?

3.Review sentences

(运用通关考试练习动词变现在分词的变化规则及现在进行时的一问一答,为后面的对话练习做好铺垫。此外这种通关复习方式充分调动了学生的注意力和积极性。)

Step4. In depth situation, study the text

1.Create a situation about the train is leaving. W e must run to the train. W ow, there are s o m a n y p e o p l e o n t h e t r a i n.I see Jenny, Danny and

LiMing. What are they doing? Let us see more clearly,ok? (创设情景,活化文本,激发学生的学习和运用语言的欲望)

2.Look at some slides to teach these phrases:play cards, play with, read the newspaper.

3. Stress about words

Continue to learn newspapers, Its stress is on the first syllable,. and then look at other more words,

4.Continue this situation,Danny is lost, where is Danny? Watch the video of the text and let Ss to help to look for Danny.(创设情境,Danny 走丢了,激发学生的热情,帮助寻找Danny.)

5.Listen to the tape and think teacher’s questions again.①What are the men doing now?②What is the woman doing ?③What is Danny doing now?

我(I)用am,你(you)用are

is连着他(he),她(she),它(it);

单数is,复数are,勿忘be的三变化。

变疑问,往前提,句末问号莫丢弃。

变否定,更容易,be后not莫忘记。

疑问否定任你变,句首大写莫迟疑。

Lesson 5 What Are They Doing?

He is playing with the baby.

They are playing cards.

She is reading the newspaper

通过本节课的学习,学生基本上会用What are they doing?句型来询问别人正在做什么,也能用今天所学的动词ing形式进行回答,教学过程从复习旧知、讲授新知到操练、总结,由简到难,能有效地调动学生学习的积极性。

由于学生在第一模块已经学习了动词的ing形式,所以在本堂课中,学生能够较好地掌握动词的现在分词形式。但有部分学生没有注意到人称代词在句子中的变化。比如,学生把they are playing cards .表达成they is playing card. 所以在大转盘练习中有强调be动词的用法,并练习.但在写作的时候还有学生写错.这说明我在上课的时候,操练还是不够到位。我会在以后的课堂教学中多注意这点。本节课还有不足之处,比如在朗读对话这个环节中,不够新颖,课堂气氛不够活跃。以及最后一个写的阶段,由于时间不太充足,没有让学生欣赏关于现在进行时的小视频.
