Step1: greetings

Step2: new words: Guide them to learn the new words of this module. this will be helpful for their reading of the whole module.

Step3:lead—in

Use the following two questions to lead in the topic of this module. 1. Would you like to live in the countryside or in the city?

2. What kind of city would you like to live in?

what you talk about is a lively city, so this is our today’s topic:

a lovely city . step4: listening

in this part ,give them three minutes to listen to the tape to have a knowledge of the whole passage. Then answer the questions.

1.which city is the lovely city in the passage?

( Xiamen ) 2.what do you know about Xiamen ? Then guide them to look at several pictures to know more information about Xiamen. after that ,We conclude that Xiamen is located in the southeast of Fujian .Xiamen is a seaside city. There is a famous island ---Gulangyu island. Step5.fast-reading leave them several minutes to look though the conversation, and find the answers of the three questions.
