Attributive clause is one of the most important grammar parts in Senior English. The grammar lesson further discusses attributive clauses that contain prep. + whom/which. Students may always find it difficult to learn grammar. So in this grammar lesson, I will combine the topic music which students are interested in with the prep. + whom/which attributive clause to arouse students’ interest and make it easier for them to learn this grammar. Analysis of students: The students in my class are not so active but they are all interested in music. Therefore, the materials prepared are all related to music and I will lead students to find out the rules of prep. + whom/which attributive clauses and use what they have learned correctly. The whole class will be in the proper pace for them to understand and digest.

Teaching procedures: Step 1: Lead-in

Introduce the band monkees and ask students to read a short passage about the Monkees and find out all the attributive clauses and antecedents. Step 2: The use of whom and which Observe these attributive clause and find out what they have in common and summarize how to use right relative pronoun which or whom. Step 3:

Group Discussion : The choice of prepositions

Look at these attributive clauses led by prep.+which/whom and try to summarize the rules of how to choose the right prepositions.
