Step 1 Free talk What day is it today?
What’s the weather like today? What holiday do you like? What will you do for the summer holiday? S1: I’ll go to Shanghai.... Most of you want to travel. Me too. If I have enough money and time,I’d like to travel around the world. Would you like to go with me? Let’s enjoy a travel book together. Look carefully:What interesting places can you see? (PPT 展示漂亮的城市图,欣赏)
Step 2 Super Brain T:Do you like this travel book? Today let’s learn : Project 2 A travel book.(板书课题)
First can you tell me:What interesting places did you see? If you can say one place, you can get one star for your group. 将学生分为两大组,看看哪组说的最多,学生每说对一个在相应的树上画一个星。
Step 3 Look and match: What nice food will we eat in these cities? T:If we don’t know the answer, what can we do? Do the others first,and the last one maybe is the answer. 活动目的:
通过活动,复习巩固第五至第八单元所学的词汇、主要句型等语言知识,并能综合运用这些语言知识,提高学生运用英语的能力。
活动任务:
1. 介绍自己最喜欢的城市。
2. 用照片或图片制作一本旅游手册。
活动准备:
1. 所需材料:卡纸、照片、图片、彩笔、胶带、剪刀等
2. 复习第五至第八单元已学的词汇、句型等语言知识。
3. 多媒体、教学光盘
4. 指导学生在教材P88
A部分中,选择一个自己喜欢的城市,查阅资料,制作信息卡,完成步骤A。
活动过程:
一、引入
1. 复习有关城市和国家的名词
多媒体呈现中外著名城市的图片,学生快速说出城市名称和所在国家
2. 复习城市的著名旅游景点
呈现城市图片,师生问答,引导学生快速说出这个城市的气候特征、特色食物和著名旅游景点和地标建筑
3. 小组活动,分享交流
学生四人一组,开展问答活动,互相介绍自己最喜欢的城市,完成活动步骤B。
二、制作
小组内分工合作,将小组内每个学生喜欢的城市照片或图片贴在卡纸上,将卡片信息写在下面,并加以美化、装修,做成旅行手册,完成活动步骤C. 三、交流
1. 介绍小组旅行手册
播放步骤C课件,引导学生读一读介绍的范例
各小组之间展示自己制作的旅行手册,并仿照范例做介绍
2. 评选活动
开展“最美旅行手册”(手册制作的质量)和“城市最佳形象代言人”(英语介绍)
四、展示
指导学生把旅行手册集中展示
教室一角,供学生日后交流分享。

2.The teacher shows her favourite city. T: Just now, you showed your favourite city. Do you want to know my favourite city? Listen to me. This is my favourite city. It’s colorful. The weather is often rainy.There are many interesting places there. Like the Opera House,Harbour Bridge and so on.You will see many lovely animals,too. Kangroos and koalas are very cute.I think you’ll like them.Every year,many visitors travel there. People can enjoy much delicious seafood.Do you know which city it is now? S:It’s Nanjing.
T:Yes, it’s Nanjing. It’s my hometown and I love it best. Do you remember how I introduced Nanjing? Can you get the main aspects? Do you have any more suggestions?
引导学生总结归纳从哪几个方面介绍自己喜爱的城市,多多益善。
T: If we want to ask about one’s favourite city, how we can ask according to these aspects? S: How is the weather in...? What interesting places will we see in the city? What food will we eat in the city? How can you get there from Nanjing? ... Let’s talk about our favourite city. You can ask and answer together. The students talk about these questions in their groups. 3.The students make a class travel book. T: Now we have known your favourite city. Let’s write about our favourite city. First, stick a photo of your favourite city on page101.(四人小组完成一张)
Then write about the city on it.(The students can write one by one)(小组内其他三位同学负责提问,剩下的一位先回答组员问题,再写下所需信息。)
