(设计意图：通过绘本How many?引导学生观察身边动物、物体、面部表情等图片随机复习数字1-20，学生在读书中复习旧知，探索新知，不仅检测了之前的语言知识，训练了语言技能，又为今天学习Zoom 和Zip 在果园摘苹果做好铺垫。) Step2 Presentation+Practice: 1.

Pre-reading: A: have a race:Show the story:the Hare and Tortoise and ask

students to play a game about “have a race”

and guess the winner: who won?

B:won: let’s have a race by using a maths competition in English class. Who won?

C: Ask students to listen to a period of sounds and guess:Who are they? (设计意图：通过龟兔赛跑的故事，引入新词，,让学生回顾故事内容，猜测词义，锻炼学生的猜词能力，自然过渡到文章中的两个主人公---Zoom &Zip。) 2.

While-reading: A:Show the pictures and let students answer the questions:

B:Ask students to look at the pictures again and answer: ---Where are they?
