教学过程: Step 1.Warming up Free talk: Where did you go ? Did you go to foreign country ? Do you want to know about foreign country?

Do you know in which country there is a kangaroo?(教师做动作让学生去猜) --in Australian What else animals do they have ? A koala. Ok, let’s go to Australia today 【设计意图】通过自有对话能很好引出今天的新单词和新知识，使学生在轻松的氛围中来学习新知识。

Step2 presentation 1. Watch the cartoon and find the answers. How can they know about Australia? 2. Learn the new words: Australian. football .Sydney . 3. read the story carefully and find the answer: what does he know ? 4.Read the dialogue after the cartoon and sum up the dialogue Presentation: Ask Ss to learn some new words and drills in a situation. He will read about Australia on the internet. 【设计意图】学生通过观看卡通和初读课文内容，找出相关的答句并利用老师提供的句型结构概括表达这些问题,把握文章大意。
