Step1 Greeting & Warm-up

出示本课课题，并教读

Show some pictures of foreign countries.Guess,what’s the country？

China: pandas、the Great Wall

T: You’ll find pandas and the Great Wall are in China.

Japan: Mount Fuji、sushi

The UK: the Big Ben、the Tower Bridge

The US: the Statue of Liberty、basketball match

France: the Eiffel Tower、the Louvre pyramid

Australia: Sydney Opera House、

同时教授Australian 区别国家与澳大利亚人的不同

Discuss :If you have a lot of money,which country will you go?Why?

T: Just now,we saw some beautiful pictures of foreign countries. If you have a lot of money, which country will you go?Why? 回忆刚学的几个国家的名称，并让学生讨论自己想去的国家，并说出原因。

Discuss :How can you find out about a country. T:Before we go to a country,we need to find out about the country.

But,how can you find out about the country? We need to know the food,the weather,the places and other things about a country. How? Please discuss with your partner. 让学生讨论可以用什么方法了解一个国家。并引导学生去思考需要了解的几方面。

Step2 Learn story Watch the cartoon and answer the two questions.

What’s the interesting country?

What will they do?

T: watch the cartoon and answer the two questions ,and write them on your papers. 让学生听录音，并在作业纸上写出这两题的答案。

Check the answers. Read the first paragraph on page58,and fill in the blanks.

Read the page58 again,and fill the table Check the answers,and learn .

在核对表格的过程中，具体学习How do Mike、Wang Bing、Liu Tao and Yang Ling find out about Australia?同时板书

Read again,and do T or F Read after the tape about the page 58. Retell the ways on the blackboard. 让学生们根据板书复述学生们用什么方法了解澳大利亚的。

Step3. Learn page59 Read and find out what interesting things in Australia. T: Liu Tao will read about Australia on the Internet. Now,he is reading at home,let’s find out what interesting things does Liu Tao find out.

让学生看书并总结澳大利亚的动物、运动、城市这几方面很有趣。

Read and underline the sentence about animal.

教授Sydney，同时也出示著名的Melbourne ，和首都Canberra. Read after the tape on page59. Choose one way to read the text.

四人一组合作，给出提示，让学生向别人介绍澳大利亚。
