一、教学内容分析

The reading passage briefly describes the story of Alexander Graham bell. Teacher should encourage students to skim for the general , and scan for further understanding, because this lesson introduces a lot of useful new words and expressions . In order not to let students feel much difficult, the teacher should deal with any language problems while they are reading. After reading, students are required to do the exercises in the each step to see how much they have understood the reading passage.

Students are interested infamous people. students should be required to talk in their own words at the end of the class. Moreover, homework is very important for an effective class. So the students are assigned to write a composition about a person, based on what they have learned in this lesson.

Telephones has become part of our life. But do you know who invented the telephone?

Bell is known for much of his work for deaf education. He became a professor of vocal physiology at Boston University.

His job was to help deaf people to understand speaking people and to make themselves understood by learning how to speak. When he invented the telephone, he was testing a method of helping a deaf person to hear. Match each paragraph and the main idea:
