一、教学目标

1.To improve the students’ listening ability through various listening activities.

2.To learn the tips of listening.

①To grasp the main idea and the topics.

②To grasp the key words.

③To understand the intension and the attitude of the speakers.

④To eliminate the effect of accent or noises in the passage.

二、教学重点与难点

To grasp the main information and key words in the listening material and emphasize the importance of intensive listening and selective listening.

三、教学方法

1.Intensive listening and selective listening with necessary instructions.

2.Group work & pair work: discussion and presentation.

四、教学过程

Step 1: Lead-in

教师首先采用英文歌曲导入法，让学生们在轻松欢快的英文歌曲中进入听英语的氛围，以鼓励学生充满自信，激发其听英语的兴趣。

接着，让学生进行头脑风暴，思考一下有哪些提高英语听力的方法。教师提醒学生，听英语歌曲就是一种提高听力水平的方法。而且，精听和泛听练习都是必不可少的。

Step 2: Deal with the listening

教师采用听前、听时与听后三个步骤来开展听力教学。在放录音之前先带领学生开展热身运动，复习重点词汇。通过这一活动，给学生一定的语言输入。

热身练习:根据首字母填单词;猜出画线单词的含义。

接下来让学生快速浏览听力题的题干，进行大胆预测，然后带着问题听录音。

紧接着，教师对学生进行听力策略方面的指导:听前先浏览题干，大胆预测。然后听关键词并填空。做完练习后让学生试着自己总结出这一策略。

Step 3: Self-assessment

让学生分小组讨论:在英语的听、说、读、写四项技能中，哪一项对自己来说最难。让学生写出原因和解决方法。然后各小组表达自己的观点。

这一步骤主要是给学生贯输一个思想，即英语听、说、读、写四项技能互相之间联系紧密。学生只有在四个方面都下功夫，才能成为英语全能者。

Step 4:Selective listening

本步骤教师选用的是第四届21世纪杯全国中学生英语演讲比赛高中组第一名获得者的演讲片断，让学生通过观看演讲视频练习听力。观看完毕后，让学生用不超过15个英文词总结其演讲的中心思想。

Step 5: Homework

作业:除了让学生完成练习册上本单元的听力练习题外，还要引导学生在课外利用多种渠道练习听力。
