VI. Teaching Procedures:

Step I. Greetings

1.Greet the whole class as usual.

2.Ask several students to describe a teacher using the words for characters.

Step II. Revision

Review the words students learned to describe teachers.

Work in pairs. Use these words to make sentences as much as possible. Help the students to use both positive words and negative words.

For example: Our Chinese teacher is intelligent and funny, but sometimes he is a bit shy and very strict with us.

Step III. Speaking

Work in pairs. Answer questions.

1. Who is your new teacher? Do you like your new teacher?

2. In your class, which teachers do students like a lot?

3. What is your new teacher like?

Ask several students to report their answers.

Make a survey of new teachers. Work in groups, then collect their answers.
