五年级下学期的学生经历了将近五年的英语学习,已经初步养成了一定的、良好的学习习惯,能熟练运用一定数量的核心词汇与一些重要的、常见的词法与句法,初步具备了一定的听、说、读、写技能,具备初步的收集信息,分析信息,处理信息的能力,在与同伴交流合作讨论的过程中初步达到了处理问题解决问题的能力。同时孩子活泼、热情,有强烈的求知欲,他们乐于表达,愿意进行语言上的交流,也愿意与同伴分享学习的快乐!本单元话题是“博物馆”,在上一单元Changes中已经初步感知了历史博物馆的知识,平时也曾多次与父母去过不少博物馆,具备了必要的学习经历。

三、单元教学目标

【语用任务】

在International Museum Day的单元语境中,通过对本单元的六个博物馆的场所特征学习、体验和实践,感知理解并运用核心语言,提炼信息,整合语言知识,表达自己对博物馆的感受,体会到不同类型博物馆的功能,了解历史、文化和发展的学***台,从而达到积极的情感体验。

语言知识与技能

1. 能听说读写核心词汇science museum, art museum, history museum, insect museum, car museum, railway museum, perform, useful, really, dance。

2. 能用What did you see in ... Museum?来询问在博物馆看到的陈列并作答。

3. 能用Which museum do you want to see ?来对想要参观的博物馆进行询问并作答。

4. 能用从地方、见闻、感受等几个方面来描述自己喜欢的博物馆。

学生对博物馆产生一定的兴趣,愿意主动了解各种类型的博物馆,进一步学习博物馆展示的历史、文化和对社会发展的作用,从而激发学生深入了解博物馆的欲望以及培育他们爱上博物馆的积极情感。

M4 U1 Period 1 Museums I Know

第一课时主体学习文本:

The Shanghai History Museum is in the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Pudong. You can get there by Metro Line No.2. It tells us the story of Shanghai. In this museum, you can see many old things. There are also a lot of photos of old Shanghai. The Shanghai Art Museum is on West Nanjing Road. It is near the Shanghai Museum. It is a modern museum with a bell tower on the top. There are hundreds of paintings in this museum. You can also see many pretty things there. People can learn about the culture of modern art. The Insect Museum is on Fenglin Road. It tells us a lot about insects. You can see many kinds of insects. There are beautiful butterflies and ugly ladybirds. People can learn a lot about insects.

The Shanghai Car Museum tells us the history and culture of the cars. It is on Boyuan Road. You can take Metro Line No.11 to get there. You can see many old cars and modern cars. It opens from Tuesday to Sunday. The Shanghai Railway Museum tells us the history of railways in Shanghai. It is on East Tianmu Road. You can take Bus No.15 or No.18 to get there. You can see many trains. You can also drive a model train. It opens from Tuesday to Saturday. The Science Museum is on the southeast end of Century Avenue, beside Century Park in Pu Dong New Area.
