【模块分析】

本模块的词汇、语言知识、功能、语言技能、活动和任务都是围绕着如何了解和介绍某个地方而设计的。本模块的话题实用性强，贴近生活，具有可挖掘性。本模块的重点是让学生学会介绍某个地方，掌握介绍某个地方的相关词汇以及本模块的语言项目，在活动中拓展学生的语言运用能力，同时培养他们的文化意识以及热爱家乡和祖国的情感。

【学情分析】

高一的学生注意力有一定的稳定性，观察能力很强，具有一定的目的性，系统性和全面性，已经初步实现从具体思维向抽象思维的过渡。他们喜欢富有个性化的教学设计，喜欢接受新鲜事物。同时，自我意识增强，拥有强烈的主观能动性。他们更是拥有很强烈的自我展现意识与欲望，不但在乎别人对自己的评价，更渴望得到别人的关注和赞赏。他们已具有了一定的自主合作和探究的能力，具有了一定的英语语言知识和英语应用的能力，具备了基本的英语思考和英语表达的基本技能。

【教学内容分析】

本课时Introduction部分介绍了与建筑、居住地及某个地方的词汇，Reading and Vocabulary部分以两个学生对话的形式,介绍了厦门的

地理位置、气候、城市概况,如旅游景点、建筑、住宅、商业区等等。通过本课时的学习，学生可以掌握与介绍人们的居住地有个的词汇。

【教学目标分析】

语言知识目标：hometown, attractive, fortunate, pretty, sound, tourist, bother, nuisance, rent, district, approach, harbour, gorgeous, park, architecture, starve, put up。

【语言技能目标】

1. 通过学习课文让学生了解厦门的地理位置、气候、城市概况并掌握介绍某个城市相关的词汇以及方法。

2. 通过学习课文，培养学生的阅读技能，培养学生获取信息，处理信息，运用信息进行推理判断的能力。

【学习策略】

归纳本课中出现的描述某一地方的词汇，注意学习介绍某个地方的要点和方法。

【文化意识】

增进对我国城市的了解，培养环保意识。

【情感态度】

培养热爱祖国，热爱家乡的美好情感，培养合作意识。

【教学重点】

1. 掌握重点的目标词汇、短语和重点句式。

2. 提高学生的阅读理解能力，了解厦门的地理位置、气候、城市概

况并掌握介绍某个城市的方法。

【教学难点】

提高学生的阅读理解能力，帮助学生用自己的语言分析信息，处理信息，学会介绍某个城市。

【教学方法】

新课程提倡运用任务型教学途径，围绕核心问题，设定小任务；围绕文章内容，尽可能提供训练学生技能的机会；开展自主性学习的课堂活动，强调合作探究与独立思考相结合。

这节课主要采用任务型教学法，借助多媒体展开教学活动。通过运用阅读技巧，如查读等方式提高阅读能力，从而培养学生的阅读策略，同时围绕文章设计多种语言活动，以自主合作等多种形式，引导学生根据不同的学习任务尝试使用不同的学习策略，使良好的学习习惯得以培养，自主学习和合作得以发展，交际能力和综合运用能力得以提高。

【教学过程】

Activity 1:

Show the students some pictures about apartment, high-rise building, etc. and let them guess words concerning the pictures. Activity2:

Step 1: Show some pictures of homes and ask: Which one is more similar to yours? Why? What kind of home do you like? Step 2: Ask the students to read the two passages in activity 2.

Step 3: Have the students work in groups to describe their own homes orally. Step 4: Write what they spoke out down and exchange their writing with group members , making some corrections. Step 5:

导入环节，充分考虑了有效激活学生已有的图式，为以后的环节做好准备。在头脑风暴环节，有些学生对于厦门可能了解不多，参与活动的积极性可能会受影响，根据情况可以先出示含有厦门鼓浪屿的图片，以激发学生的兴趣。在阅读中环节，利用课本中所设计的练习，有效训练学生的略读、扫读和词义猜测技能。Post-reading和Assignment让学生进一步在语用中练习和实践本课时的描述居住地的词汇结构。
