Book1moudle5 Grammar Review adverbial clause 1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明

In the past, we more often focused on the detail rules when we taught grammar. In this way, perhaps students could know about the relevant grammar rules but when they deal with various exercises or exams, they are always lacked an ability to do them right by using what they learnt. Thus I long to change the situation. In other words, I intend to emphasize comprehensive language use in grammar teaching for the sake of enhancing students’ reading, writing, and translating competences. Meanwhile, I desire to have students experience the pleasure of learning English

教学内容分析：

This part is very important for the students ,especially for their college entrance examination .So reviewing this part and mastering the main points of it can help the students make a lot progress in their english study..

The senior students need to learn this part to increase their confidence in the examination. In addition, it is useful for them to learn this part to make their abilities of writing

and reading better. 3.教学目标分析

Help the students to know about the types and structure of adverbial clause. 2.

Pay attention to the sequence of tenses in some of adverbial clauses. 3. Most of the students can use adverbial clauses skillfully in oral and written communication.

5.教学过程设计

步骤1：Lead in Warming-up Ask the students some questions and present the Adverbial Clauses. 设计意图：To arouse the students’ interest and lead in the revision topic 步骤2：Reading Give a short passage to the students and ask them to read them quickly then answer the questions. 设计意图：To direct the students to find out the Adverbial Clauses in the passage .Meanwhile, let the students know this part is quite important for them in reading comprehension. 步骤3：Ask the students to read the passage and find out what clause appears most in the passage. 设计意图 To pave the way for the next teaching link 步骤4：Revision Review the kinds of the Adverbial Clauses and their usages. 设计意图：To make the students get the main points of the Adverbial Clauses and know the meanings of the link words . 步骤5：Practice Let the Students do some exercises in groups by playing some games. 设计意图：To

check how the students understand the usages of the Adverbial Clauses ,emphasize some key points of them and arouse their interests in learning. 步骤6：Summary Work in groups and summarize the usages of Adverbial Clauses by drawing the mind maps

Then choose one of students in each group to show their works. 设计意图：To help the students to remember this part better. 步骤7：Consolidation 1.Have a test 2 Oral Speaking 设计意图：To help the students know the meanings of conjunctions in adverbial clauses better To train their speaking ability. 步骤8：Homework 1 Review what we have learnt . 2.Write a composition by using the Adverbial Clauses . 设计意图：To consolidate what we’ve learnt. 6.教学评价设计

评价内容：The students’ performance in class and the scores they get in the games.

评价方法：Personal oral assessment and score assessment in each group.
