IV.Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 .Warming up .

1.use the title to teach the word week . 2. Review some English phrases in groups (homework yesterday).

Step 2 .Vocabulary study. 1. Show a calendar by PPT. Use “How many days are there in a week ?”

to learn the word day . 2. Learn new words and new sentences: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. “What day is it? It’s ….

”“What day is it today? It’s ….

”

3. Play a game .

4. Check the words and the sentences . Step 3 Target study. 1.

Check the words and the sentences for Monday .Teacher asks : “What day is it ? ”

Students: It’s Monday . Theacher leads to the sentences : What do you do on Monday ? I play the violin on Monday . 2.

Listen to the tape and read after it . 3. Continue to check the words and the sentences with “What day is it ? ”
