Lesson13 How old are you? Teaching aims: 1.

知识目标： 1）掌握新词：am，when，birthday。

2）句型How old are you？ I’m eleven years old. 2.

能力目标： 能询问他人的年龄，并对该询问做出回答，在生活中，要注意中西方文化的差异。

尊重他人的个人隐私。

Important points: 用“How old are you”询问他人的年龄，并用“I am...”作出回答。

Step1 Warm up Greeting. T:Good morning,class！How are you today? Ss：Good morning,teacher. I am fine,thanks. And you？

T:I am fine,too.Thank you.What day is today? Ss：It’s Thursday. Step2 Review months T：How to read these words?（打开PPT第2张）

Ss:The months. T：Yes,great.How many months are there in a year? Ss:Twelve. T：Yes. And what are they?（打开PPT第3、4张）

Ss:They are January,February,... Step3 Presentation 1.

单词练习。用词卡展示生词并领读。

How ... are you? I am ten. 讲解am，old的发音，意思及用法。

教师走到一个学生的面前。

T：I’m ten years old. How old are you ? Ss:I’m eleven years old. 教师走到另一个学生的面前。

T：How old are you ? Ss:I’m eleven years old，too. 领读

：How old are you ? I’m eleven years old. Get the students to read them one by one. Practice in pairs. S1:How old are you ? S2:I’m ten years old. S3: How old are you ? S4:I’m eleven years old. 让学生表演练习，找4个学生站在讲台上，

并问：How old is he? How old is she ? 延伸：会读，明白意思，会运用。

S1:My birthday is September 20. S2:My birthday is October 18. S3:My birthday is May 5. S4:... 教师领读。

My birthday is August 23. When is your birthday? My birthday is October 18. Practice in pairs. S1:When is your birthday? S2:My birthday is May 5. ... 4.Now,let us learn new text.Please turn to page 34. （打开PPT第10张）出示与课文有关的问题。先让学生自己看题。

整节课比较流畅，重难点都讲解出来了，思路比较清晰。有一些细节做的不是很好：1、在让学生听录音的环节，应该让学生多听一边，一边听一边让学生一句一句的跟读。2、在临下课还有剩余的时间，可让学生练习本课的中的句型。3、应该以学生为中心，让学生多读，读练习。在以后的课堂中，应注意这些小细节，争取让每节课都很充实，有趣。
