牛津英语1AM4U1的教学主题是关于农场的动物。教材通过让学生学习农场动物的单词chick, duck, cow, pig，掌握各种象声词Oink, moo, quack, peep等，让学生学会如何区分远近的事物，并通过一定情景的创设，引导学生学习用What’s this/that? It’s a…句型对相关情景进行问答，教材还期望通过游戏、儿歌等形式促使学生使用本单元习得的语言知识，并在学习交流的过程中，发展英语使用能力。
