教材分析：本课是牛津英语五年级上册第四模块第11单元的第一课。本单元主要讨论水的用途，了解水和人类的密切关系，意识到节约用水的重要性。

学情分析：五年级孩子已经有了一定的英语基础，但是仍有一部分学生英语基础不牢固，基本知识掌握不牢固。孩子较其他年级相比，不再喜欢简单幼稚的游戏，更倾向于有一定难度的环节设置。
