【总结归纳】if only表示“要是……该多好，但愿”。if only从句可单独使用，这时要用虚拟语气：表示与过去相反的愿望用 had done；与现在相反的愿望用 did/were；表示与将来相反的愿望用

“would/could/might＋动词原形”。例如：

①If only I had gone to Beijing.我要是去了北京就好了。

②If only he could come tomorrow.他要是明天能来就好了。

If only I were a doctor. 我现在要是个医生就好了。

If only I had said nothing.我当时不说就好了。

If only my son didn’t spend so much before TV. 要是我儿子不在电视前面呆那么长时间就好了。

only

if是对条件状语从句的强化,即用only

限制if, 表示唯一,必要的条件, 表示“只要,只有；必须在……的条件下才……”之意。它引导的条件状语从句一般要与主句配合才能使用,这类句子要用陈述语气。Only
