Warming-up

Free talk :

Show a picture of feast and ask students what would be eaten on the feast in 18,000 BC.

Reading (1)

Fast–reading : Match main idea of each paragraph.

Careful–reading: Find out the work division between men and women in primitive societies.

Speaking

Students are required to describe the tasks done by men and women with the given words. (caring, tough, protective, dangerous, safe, useful, co-operative…)

Students are encouraged to discuss the reasons why sexism still exists in our modern society and write down the key points. (3)

Students are encouraged to think of some practical solutions on how to prevent sexism and share their opinions freely and show their key points again. 4.

Writing Students are asked to write a composition on sexism in work based on what they have discussed. Volunteers are invited to show their compositions and the rest of students and the teacher will evaluate and polish their writing.

Try to find out more information of the life of early people. Get ready to share with your classmates.
