Unit 5 What color is it? Teaching Aims:
1.
By using courseware ,cards and playing games, students can listen , read and say the four words: red ,green, yellow, blue . 2.
Through watching video ,making sentences, asking and answering practice , students can understand and use the patterns “What color is it?”
and May I have a look? 3.
Through listening, reading, role play and making dialogues , students can listen ,read and act out the dialogues , and get to know how to treat others courteously and develop habits of good manners . Key points:
Learn to use the pattern “What color is it?” and “May I have a look?” to ask question for another people . Difficult

1.Learn the four new words
(1)Presentation of the new words. a. The teacher show a Rainbow ,and learn the song of “Rainbow
Song “,
b. Through the four pictures “red “ green” “yellow” and “blue”. The student’s know the word means . (2)Practice the new words in different ways. a. Train the students to read the new words correctly. b. Play a game with the new words. 2.Learn the new patterns ”What color is it ?” and “May I have a look ?”
a. The teachers shows a color card ,and ask “What color is it ? Is it green?”
b. Ask the students to watch the cartoons, listen to the tape and the people are talking about . C. Watch again and get the students to understand what the patterns” What color is it ?”mean.
d. The teacher writes the patterns “What color is it?” on the blackboard and explains how to use them in daily life . e. Do some oral practice about the patterns . 3.Learn the dialogues in the textbook.
a. Listening to the recording of part “Learn and say” of the textbook .
