Adverb Phrases

2.

选用材料一定会契合本单元的主题life and Attitude尤其是attitude to life这一方面。

3.

内容深度不再进行额外拓展,就完成课本上要求的教学内容。

终极教学目标:

1.

Identity adverb phrases.

2.

Use them to describe a picture/tell a story. (二选一)

(因为本单元的写作目标即为writing a piece of narration.) 预设问题:

1,

学生对于adverb phrase这一语法项目不清楚或者说了解不够。

2,

课堂气氛可能会比较沉闷些。

解决方式:

1.

先从副词这一词性入手,让学生先对副词有一个基本的概念,然后在来过渡到副词词组,层层递进,慢慢深入。

2.

尽可能的将活动设计的有趣,贴合学生实际一些,让学生尽可能多地使用本节课所讲的语法。

Learning objectives: By the end of the class, we will be able to: 1.

identify adverb phrases. 2.

use adverb phrases to describe pictures and finally make up a story.

I.

Read aloud and pay attention to the words and phrases in bold. 1.

In the story, whatever happened, the father

just

smiled and said, “Wait and see.” again and again. 2.

He clearly knew that fortune and misfortune always came hand in hand.

3.

What is bad can be turned into what is good sometimes. Tips:

1. We use the adverb or adverb phrases to tell some necessary information, such as _____________. 2. We use adverb or adverb phrases when we want to modify (修饰) ________________.

1

II.

Read the following passage and underline all the adverb phrases. Then analyze them by following the example. In the story, whatever happened, the father just smiled and said, “Wait and see.” again and again. Why? Because he clearly knew that fortune and misfortune always came hand in hand. What is bad can be turned into what is good sometimes. For example, the young man lost his mare[meə](母马). But a few weeks later, his mare ran back over the grassland, together with a handsome stallion['stæljən](成年公马). When the young man enjoyed riding on the stallion very happily, he was thrown down from its back and broke his left thigh[θaɪ]

(大腿) so he could hardly move. Because he couldn’t move freely, however, he could stay away from the fierce[fɪəs](激烈的) battle, so it’s good in the bad and the bad in the good. When you face something bad, try hard to change it into something good. Functions
