2. 在Story time的学习过程中掌握有关道路交通方面的新词road, light, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rules, follow，体会情态动词must及其否定must not的用法。

3. 能简单区分形容词safe、名词safety及副词safely的不同。

4. 能用正确的语音语调朗读Story time。

5. 能理解道路安全知识，尝试用英语说说道路交通规则并能牢记过马路的交通规则，树立安全意识。

教学重点：

2. 在Story time的学习过程中掌握有关道路交通方面的新词road, light, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rules, follow, must, safety, safely。

教学难点：

1. 体会情态动词must及其否定must not的用法，并能简单区分形容词safe、名词safety及副词safely的不同。

2. 能牢记过马路的交通规则，树立安全意识。

Step 1 Pre-reading 1.

Free talk T：Boys and girls, how do you come to school every morning? S1: I come to school by car. S2: I come to school by e-bike with my mother. ... T: Wow, the same with me! Can you guess how do I come to school? S: By e-bike. T: Yes, so clever. On the busy road, I can see many cars and buses, right?

I must follow some rules, right? S: Right!

T: OK! Today let’s learn Unit4 Road safety. 2. 出现3幅交通图，让学生明白这些行为是不对的，并问：

How can we stay safe on the road?

To keep safe, we must follow some rule.(提示3个规则)

What can you see on the picture? (PPT呈现道路，教生词：traffic lights, green man, red man, zebra crossing, pavement) Step 2 While-reading (Story time) 1. T: Let’s watch the cartoon, please try to answer “How can we stay safe on the road?”

2. 学习课文第一部分

T: How can we cross the roads safely? Let’s learn from the story time.

T: Good job! We now know to cross the road safely when there is a zebra crossing.

But how to cross the road safely when there is no zebra crossing? (自读课文第二部分，并圈出关键词) Read freely. And try to get the main information. Judge: (1) You can wait on the motorway and look out for cars and bikes.

(教师在学生判断和修改的过程中教生词pavement；要求学生在句型中的理解look out并选出正确的图片)

(2) You must first look right, then left, and then right again.

(通过这句的判断，帮助生理解并且记住正确的过斑马线的方式)

(3) It’s safer to cross the road with other people. 4. 看图讨论，学习课文第三部分，并完成课文缺失部分
