一．教材分析：

本课使用的教材是由外研社和英国剑桥大学出版社合作开发的一套三年级起点的“Jion in”.该教材以加德纳多元智能理论为主导思想，注重少年儿童认知系统与心理机制的开发，力图让小学生的各种智能特征在英语学习过程中得以表现，从而实现小学英语教育人文性和工具性的统一。

二．学生分析：

六年级的学生已经有了一定的英语基础，已经具备了一定的阅读能力。但文中的一些新单词和短语会给阅读带来一些困难，形成障碍。

三．教学目标：

1. 通过river，lake，run across, from west to east, enter的学习，能够读懂文段，从而加深对武汉的了解。

2.通过对文段的阅读，培养学生良好地阅读习惯，提高学生的阅读能力。

3.通过阅读拓宽学生的视野，培养学生学习的自信心。

四．教学策略：

情景教学法：创设情景让学生回忆已经学过的句型，并进行运用。营造良好的英语学习氛围。

动作教学法：用具体形象的手势、动作来辅助英语学习，提高学习效果。

活动教学法：设计一些活动，通过活动让学生加深对所学语段的理解，并得出答案。

全身反应法：调动学生的感觉器官，让学生通过全身各个部位的不同动作来达到理解记忆的目的。

教学用具：PPT 五．教学重难点：

重点：能理解单词river, lake, enter, run across, 能完成文本中横线处的空白单词。考查学生对文本的熟练程度以及关键词的运用。

难点：拓宽学生视野，提高学生阅读能力。

六．教学过程：

1.Warming-up:  Greeting. T：Hello,boys and girls.I’m glad to see you again.  Free talk. T: What day is it today?/How is the weather?/How are you feeling today?/Today we are going to talk about our city----Wuhan.(通过师生问候营造轻松的学习氛围。）

2.Presentation:  Play the video of Wuhan.(让学生了解武汉，学生的学习兴趣。）

 To teach the new words:river, Changjing River, Han River, lake, East Lake, enter ,run across, from west to east.(用PPT做图片帮助学生理解、记忆单词，同时可以扫清阅读障碍。）

 To listen and read the passage,answer the questions: A.what is the passage about?

B.How do you like Wuhan ? C.What do you know about Wuhan from the passage?(先听一遍，初步感知，再读一遍，回答问题，可以检测学生是否能从文章中获取有效信息。）

④ Read again and finish the exercise in Part5b. Tick True or False. a.Wuhan is one of the biggest cities in China. b.The Han River joins the Changjiang River in Wuhan. c.The Han River run across Wuhan from west to east. d.The East lake is the biggest lake in the world. e.Wuhan is also a city of lakes because the East lake is very big. (再一次仔细阅读文章，完成练习。练习部分考查的都是细节问题，这样可以帮助学生更深入的理解文章，注意培养学生良好地阅读习惯和做题习惯。）

3.Practice:

Read after the tape.

Read together.

Boys and girls.

Do and say and try to repeat. (让学生跟着磁带读，可以纠正学生不正确的发音。采用多种方式读课文，让学生熟悉文章。最后在教师的帮助下完成复述。）
