Learning goals:

To practice the target grammar in this Unit----the simple present tense :to have/to like /to watch/to love/to play. After this class, students will be able to make sentences using the target grammar. Key Teaching Points:

Warming-up: The teacher show students some pictures of sports things on PPT and

talk with students like this:

T: I have a ping-pong ball, but I don’t have a ping-pong bat. Do you have one? S: Yes, I do. T:What do you have? S: I have a baseball.

T：Do you like play baseball？

S：Yes, I do. Ask all the students:What does...have? Does ...like...? All Students: ...has a , but she doesn’t have a ......likes to play... Free talk like this for 2minutes. Ask each student to write two sentences like: (1)I have.... , but I don’t have...(2) Mary has...,but she doesn’t have... Ask two of them to come to the blackboard to write down the sentences, and check the answers with the class. Transition:

Now , you are going to hear a short passage about these three students(ppt show the pictures of Frank Brown, Gina Smith, Wang Wei)，Frank Brown, Gina Smith and Wang Wei. Listen carefully and think about this question: who has a soccer ball？
