2. Revision and presentation.

Let’s chant together:

Monday, Monday, math on the Monday. Tuesday, Tuesday, art on the Tuesday! Wednesday, Wednesday, computers on the Wednesday. Thursday, Thursday, P.E. on the Thursday! Friday, Friday, my favorite Friday!

Show pictures of subjects and days. Ask the Ss:

T: What subject is it? Ss: It’s history. 3. 完成1a，学生们讨论对各学科看法。首先收集相关的形容词，然后学生两人一组用已学过的形容词模仿所给的例子进行对话，交换对学科的看法。

S1: Ms. Hu. (4) Work pairs to make their own conversations. Let some pairs act out their conversations.

3. Presentation Look at the pictures to learn the description words and get the correct meanings of them.

(1)Present other days in a week. Show some pictures of calendar. Teach Ss Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Ss read after the teacher and remember the days in a week.

(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Friday and Sunday)

Show a picture of someone who is busy doing sth. Write the word "busy" on blackboard. Then show a picture of someone who is lying on the beach to rest. Write the word "free" on the blackboard. Then show a very cool boy with nice clothes. Write the word "cool" on the blackboard.

Let Ss read the words free, busy, cool loudly. Then review the words: boring, difficult, easy, interesting, fun

4 Work on 1a.

Ask some of the Ss to share their ideas about different subjects. Teacher is to make conversation with them and collect the description words they use.

T: What do you think of history?

Ss: I think it’s ...

T: Yes, I think so. / Oh, but I think it’s ...

Revise the adjectives they may use. (3)

Make the Ss follow the sample and exchange ideas.

5. Continue 1a (1) Read the words in 1a. (3) Teach the new words: free, cool

T: OK. Read through the schedule and find out what classes David have from Monday to Friday.

Pair work. 6. 1d的话题是在Section A的基础(1) Work on 1d. Ss talk about David’s favorite subject in pairs. Then ask one pair to present their conversation to the class. (2) Ss follow the sample to talk about their own favorite subjects in pairs.
