This is my mother. Teaching aims:

1. Be able to read and say the new words: father, mother, brother, sister, grandpa, grandma.

2. Be able to ask and answer about family members. 3. Be willing to speak English.

Difficulties and emphasis:

1. New words: brother,sister,grandpa,grandma; 2. New sentences:

“This is my...”

Teaching aids: word cards; blackboard; computer

Teaching process: Step 1

Warm-up

1. The teacher greets the class and let them respond.

2. Let students listen and sing a song together . 3. Practice oral English by asking questions.

Step 2 Presentation

1. The teacher take out of a mask of Sam. 2. Lead-in the new words.

T: Hello boys and girls, I’m Sam. And today I’m going to introduce some pictures of my family to you. T:Look, who is she?(MS Smart).

She is MS Smart and she is my mother. 3. Teach the new word“mother”

4. Show another picture.teach the new word “father”

5. The same way to teach “brother”

“sister”

“grandpa”

“grandma”.

Step 3 Let’s game.

1. I say you do. I say the word and you do the actions/. 2. I do you say. I do the actions and you say the words 3. Guessing game.

4. Read the words together.

Step 4 Practice 1. work in pairs.

Introduce the picture of your family to your partner. 2.Invite some students to show their dialogue.

Step 5 Homework

1. Read and write the new words. 2. Listen and imitate “Unit 1”.

课后反思：

1. grandpa,grandma模仿环节顺序应调至新授部分，教完单词就请学生来模仿。

2. 机械性单词操练过多，应设想更多的有意义的游戏环节，让孩子有更多机会自主说英语。

3. Brother对孩子来说发音较难，应强调。

4. This is my...句型操练应该放到语境里，可每讲完一个单词，T:This is my mother.(请同学们拿着自己的全家福指出自己的mother,让学生充分说。）

5. 播放视频前应做适当铺垫。

6. 最后环节宣布比赛结果，布置家庭作业。
