Step 1 Lead-in T: Good morning, boys and girls! S: Good morning, Miss Huang!

T: First of all, let’s watch the video and tell me: Who did the boy look for? Ss: watch the video T: Who did the boy look for?

S: He looked for his father. T: We can also say... S: He searched for his father. T: Did the boy have anybody to help him? What is it? S: A pokemon. T: What did they do to search for his father? Look at the pic, the things are all over the place, right? S: Yes. T: Why did they do this? S: Because they wanted to know what happened. T: That means... S: Because they wondered what happened. T: Did they ask others for help? Where did they meet these pokemons? S: On their way to find his father. T: This is one of these pokemons, right? What do you think of it?

S: Weak. T: So can it make loud sounds?

S: No. T: What can it do? S: Whisper. T: Did they find the boy’s father?

S: Yes.

T: What do you think of the pokemon? S: It is a good detective. Step 2 Pre-reading T: Today we will also be a detective and try to find out what happened to Millie and Amy.

Ss: Work in pairs. T: Work in groups. Talk about what you can learn from the story with your group members and try to make a report. You can talk about the people, the story, etc.

Step 5 Homework Tell the story to others. VI. Teaching reflection 本节课的主线不够清晰，应该用一条主线来贯穿始终。课堂节奏的把握还需要调整，前面文本处理的内容可以在再充实些，并留出更多的时间给学生思考。在处理文本时，可以展现部分关键词，减少大段语句的出现次数，便于学生接受和思考。平时还需要多思考串词，优化自己的语言。另外，对于最后的小组活动还可以进行进一步的思考，勇于创新。
