Unit 5 Welcome to the unit 【教学目标】

1. 掌握以下单词、词组与句型的意思并能正确朗读和运用。

词汇：same, birth, earth, back, fat, fact, amazing, times, bone.

词组：the same size, from birth, stop doing sth, in the back of. 句型：Fish sleep with their eyes open.

【教学过程】

Step1. Lead-in 1. Show a picture to the students and ask how they feel about the picture. Teach new words.

2. Show some pictures about amazing things to teach some new words and sentences.

3. Ask students to describe their feelings about the pictures with some adjectives. Step2. Practice 1. Ask the students to complete Part A. Match the pictures with the sentences.

2. Let the students describe the pictures. Try to remember the sentences. Step3. Presentation & practice 1. Ask the students to describe their feelings about those amazing things.

2. Listen to Part B. Tell the students: Kitty and Amy are talking about the fun facts in Part A. Listen to their conversation and tell me which picture they’re talking about and what they think of the facts.
