一、教学内容：

1.主题课文：

May Day is coming. Is it a holiday? Yes. In China, we also call it Labor Day. It’s on May 1st. But in the U.S.A., Labor Day is the first Monday of September. Labor Day is a holiday for the working people. Great! So what are you going to do on May Day? We are going to visit the Great Wall. 2.功能句型：

学习：-What are you going to do on May Day? -We are going to visit the Great Wall. 3.词汇：

掌握： China, labour, wall 理解：May Day/Labour Day, in the U.S.A., in China, working people 二、教学目标：

（一）知识技能目标：

1.能够听懂、会说、认读、理解本课的四会单词：China, labour, wall；在课文的语境中认读词组：May Day, Labour Day, in the U.S.A., in China, working people；并尝试在交际中运用。

2.在实际情景中通过教师课件给出的图片，对功能句进行动词词组的替换练习，来操练本课的功能句型

“What are you going to do on May Day?”

“We are going to ….”

3.能够理解课文内容，并能够用正确的语音、语调朗读，表演课文对话。

4.能够根据一些关键词来描述劳动节的名称、时间、劳动节所属的人们、打算，及美国劳动节与中国劳动节的差异。

三、教学重难点：

（一）教学重点：

1.本课的四会单词：China, labour, wall；在课文出现的词组：May Day, Labor Day, in the U.S.A., in China, working people。

2.本课的功能句型“What are you going to do on May Day?”

“We are going to ….”

3.本课的课文对话内容。

（二）教学难点：

1.单词visit的正确发音。

2.能够根据一些关键词来描述劳动节的名称、时间、劳动节所属的人们、打算，及美国劳动节与中国劳动节的差异。

(一)Warming up 活动一：Every English 【活动目标】

激发兴趣，引出主题。

【设计意图】学生用英语问答，激发学生积极的情绪，为导入到新知学习做好铺垫.

（二）Presentation and practice 活动二：Talk about the picture.

【活动目标】初步了解课文话题，理解课文内容

【活动方式】 S-T 【活动时间】 5分钟

【实施方法】

T：Our friends are talking about a holiday. Let’s listen : Which is the picture of this dialogue? 2. 讨论主题图，导入新课。

T：Please look at the picture, Can you ask some questions? S: Who are they ? Where are they ? What do you see in the picture? T：Where is Guoguo from? Where is Sara from? Ss：Guoguo is from China. Sara is from America. T: They are talking about a holiday. Let’s watch and listen: which holiday are they talking about? 引出May Day T: When is May Day? S: It’s on May 1st. T: Today is March 30th. So Guoguo says May Day is coming.

【设计意图】：通过谈论主题图，预测本课要学习内容。让学生在交际活动中初步感知，为后面课文的学习做好充分的准备。

Ⅲ. Presentation and practice: 活动三： Let’s listen and anawer 【活动目标】进一步理解课文内容，通过听力获取细节信息

【活动方式】 S-T Ss-Ss 【活动时间】 15分钟

【实施方法】

T：When is May Day in China? Ss：It’s on May 1st. T：We also call it Labor Day. Ok. Now, please read after me. labour↗↘. Ss：labour↗↘. T：When is May Day/Labour Day in China?

Ss：It’s on May 1st.

T：When is Labor Day in the US/America? Ss：It’s the first Monday of September.

T：Look at some pictures, and say some words out. Ss：Teacher, doctor, policeman ……

T：They are working people. So, in China, Labor Day is a holiday for the working people.

Ss：Labor Day is a holiday for the working people.

T：Do they need to work on May Day? Ss：No. T：In China, people will have a holiday on May Day. What about the Labor Day in the US? Let’s have a look together. Ss：Look at some pictures about Labor Day in the US. T：Now, Sara is in China. There is no school on May Day. What is Sara going to do on that day? Ss：She will visit the Great Wall. T：visit↗↘。

【设计意图】通过听录音，观察图片，回答问题，做动作等方法，听课文对话并回答相关问题，使学生对本文中更细节的问题展开深入地讨论,学习本课四会单词,理解课文内容。

活动四： Listen and repeat. Sounding like a native speaker. 【活动目标】听录音，跟读课文，模仿语言语调。

【实施方法】

1. T：Please open your book page 34, Let’s listen and repeat. While listening, you should pay attention to PIE. Do you remember PIE,PIE,PIE? Ss: Yes. Sounding like a native speaker. Let’s practice 关注语音语调
