本课是英语（北京版）六年级上册以十二生肖如何排序的阅读教学课。

教学背景分析

（一）教材分析：

本课以北京版小学英语六年级上册Unit 7 What are the twelve animals?为依托，主要通过小组合作学习研究中国十二生肖的名称、来历及每种生肖动物的由来传说故事。通过对十二生肖的来历及其故事的探究学习，使学生了解了十二生肖每一种动物的由来，了解生肖动物在中国文化的意义和关系，以及生肖动物在生活中的联系与运用，了解我国的生肖文化，弘扬我国的传统文化。

（二）学情分析：

学生经过五年的英语学习，具有初步的小组合作学习能力，学生已经初步学习过十二生肖，本节课学生将继续学习探究十二生肖的顺序和由来，故事阅读的生词障碍和信息量大，学生通过阅读获取信息的能力有待进一步加强和训练，学习起来有一定的难度。本节课学生将通过小组合作学习和探究学习共同了解十二生肖文化，弘扬我国的传统文化。

教学目标：

1.知识与技能：

（1）学生能读懂、理解故事，能够知道十二生肖每一种动物的由来。

2.过程与方法：

（1）学生通过阅读故事提取有效信息。

（2）学生通过小组合作学习对十二生肖顺序的由来及其文化进行探究式学习和研究。

3.情感目标：

学生能了解十二生肖顺序的传说故事，能主动和他人谈论，主动向他人传播传统的中国生肖文化。

十二生肖传说故事每一种动物的由来及其在文化中意义。

教学难点：

通过阅读去获取信息的能力，了解十二生肖的传说故事。

教学过程：

（一）创设情境，质疑启思

Today our topic is the twelve animals. The twelve animals means the birth-year animals or Chinese zodiac 1.

What do you want to know about the twelve animals? 预设：S1：What are they?

S2: How often does each animal came around? S3：Which animal was the first? S4: Who decided the order of the birth-year animals? … 【设计意图：通过师生讨论本课话题，提出问题，明确学习目标，激发学生对十二生肖的学习兴趣。】

（二）热身复习，巩固基础

1. What are the twelve animals? Watch a video and check the answers. 2. How often does each animal come around? Every twelve years. Twelve years is a cycle. 3. The rat started the cycle. It was the first animal of the twelve. 【设计意图：调动学生的原有认知，激发学生对新知识的学习兴趣。】

（三）创设情境、自探静思
