(1) Knowledge and skill objectives: Students will be able to know something about a presentation. Students will get the main idea of a presentation on the virtual reality. (2)

Process and method objectives: Students will improve their speaking and analyzing ability. It helps develop students’ ability of fast reading and careful reading. (3)

Emotional attitude and value objectives: It will arouse students’ interest in reading English articles.

Students will learn the significance of the virtual reality.

6. Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead-in After students watch a trailer for a 3-D film, ask them whether they like 3-D films and what technology is behind these films.

Step 2 Pre-reading Know something about a business presentation.

Step 3 While-reading Fast reading:

Ask students to read the whole passage quickly and answer the following questions: (1) What is the name of the product? (2) What information will this presentation give you? (3) How many of the user’s senses does this product connect with?

Careful reading:

1). Ask students to read the passage carefully and answer the following questions: (1) What technology is behind this product? (2) What do users wear so they feel that they are really in a new world? (3) What did the teenager experience in RealCine? (4) Why do some people think that users will be disappointed by RealCine? (5) How could firefighters be trained with this new technology?

2). Divide the passage and get the detailed information of each part.
