本单元的单元话题为Family life,所学内容非常贴近学生生活。学生通过学习Kitty的家人正在进行的活动，学习并运用现在进行时描述自己或别人正在做的事情。

以学生为本，以学生发展为出发点，采用任务型教学法和情景教学法，借助多媒体和教学用具完成教学，激发学生学习兴趣，通过Read、say and act等方式让学生参与到英语课堂中来，体验学习的成功及英语学习的乐趣。

知识与能力：

学习本单元的核心词汇：life，living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, model plane, do homework.

能用What are you doing?询问对方正在做什么事情，并能用现在进行时（be doing）描述自己或别人正在做的事情。

本节课是新版牛津英语五年级上册第六单元第一课时，本节课的重点是学习并使用现在进行时，在本节课中我通过让学生演一演、议一议、说一说、唱一唱、写一写来贯穿本课，逐级突破重难点。在本节中我主要设计了学生与文本的几次对话：一、初次对话，听录音，感知文本；二、二次对话文本，小组讨论总结重难点；三、三次对话文本，师生共同总结本节重点：现在进行时的使用；四、四次对话文本，编唱歌曲巩固所学知识；五、五次对话文本，写出自己的家庭生活。通过让学生分层与文本对话，逐渐掌握了本节的重点，

不足之处：通过学生动手写检验出学生的课堂目标达成率，学生口头会说，但是有百分之二十的学生书写有困难，主要表现在：1.be动词的使用不正确；2.动词的ing形式书写不正确。这些需要今后加强练习。
