教材分析:

本课我所讲的是六年级上海牛津版英语第一模块第一单元第一课时。主要学习内容是Listen and say, Look and learn两个板块。Listen and say,Look and learn以照片的形式呈现了Sally从婴儿,幼儿,小学生到中学生等不同成长阶段的外貌特征,进一步呈现了核心句型Her hair was short and her eyes were big,和核心词汇cute, handsome, pretty在真实语境中的运用,帮助学生更好的运用一般过去式。

学情分析:

六年级学生经过三年的英语学习,积累了一定的单词和短语,能用简单的语句对图片进行描述,学生看着图片能说出来her hair、short、one year old, her eyes 、big、 go to the beach, go等。会描述人物外貌特征,对于动词过去式学生第一次接触,语法对学生来说有点困难。新授词汇有cute, handsome, pretty发音有点困难。核心句型: Her hair was short and her eyes were big .学生比较容易接受。primary school student、junior high school student孩子们是初次接触,发音有点困难。

教学目标:

1、能借助图片猜测理解Listen and say的对话内容,并能模仿、

朗读对话。

2. 在语境中运用本单元的核心词汇;

3、能描述人物过去的外貌特征。

教学重难点:

教学重点: 1、能借助图片猜测理解Listen and say的对话内容,并能模仿、朗读对话;

2、在语境中运用本单元的核心词汇cute ,handsome, pretty, grow up, month, 掌握句型He /She was ...His /Her...was/were...

教学难点:

1、学生通过本课的学习,能够初步了解一般过去式。

2、在句型His /Her...was/were...中根据名词的单复数形式正确使用was或

were。

课前准备:

课件,图片,卡片等。

教 学 流 程

Step1: Pre-task preparations

1. Daily report.

2.多媒体展示几组名人图片,比如姚明,潘长江,范冰冰等让学生进述。T: Look at the photo, who is he/she?

SS: He/she is…(name)

T: Is he tall? What does he look like?

SS: Yes/No, he/she is…( tall ,short, fat, thin )

3. 出示他们小时候的图片,再引导学生用过去式进行描述。

T:Look at this photo, Yao Ming was about one year

old. What did he look like?

Step2: While-task procedures

1. 对比前面几组照片,引出短语grow up.

T: Compare these photos, they are growing up. And we are growing up.

引导学生阅读单元标题,解释grow up含义,并请同学跟读。

2. 播放录音,让学生整体感知课文, 并回答问题:

.Who does the passage talk about?

.In photo 1, was she a baby?

.In photo 2, was her hair long or short?

.In photo 3, how old was she?

.Now what does she look like?

3. ①出示课件一:

让学生用过去式描述Sally两个月时的照片。

T:Look at this baby. She was about two monthsold.

并出示一张日历,板书month.

T:How many months are there in a year?

How many months are there in spring?

出示几张可爱婴儿的照片,让学生用month来描述他们的年龄,并了解cute的用法。

T:

were the babies cute?

②出示课件二:让学生观察并回答:

How about her hair?

How about her eyes?

让学生用was 和were进行描述,知道单数用was

复数用were 出示更多图片,让学生练习用was 和were进行描述。

③出示课件三:

学习单词:primary school student

T: Are you a primary school student?

Which primary school do you go to?

④出示课件四:

学习单词:junior high school, pretty, handsome T: How old is Sally now?

What school does she go to?

What does she look like?

出示与Sally 同龄的那女孩照片,让学生对比描述,区分pretty 和handsome.

4. 再次播放录音,边听边跟读。比一比谁读得最像录音里的发音。

5. 完成P3的Complete the notes about the photo 。

Step3: Post-class activities 1. 让学生根据P3页的联系复述课文。

2. 根据图片内容,仿照例句,补充句子。

Step4: Homework

让学生带照片并介绍以前的自己。
