通过生动有趣的教学活动激发学生想说和要说的愿望，培养学生说的能力，以及初步运用英语进行交际的能力。本课出自外研版新标准英语三年级起点五年级上册Module 5 Unit2 There are forty.主要教学任务是谈论数量。本模块的重点是学习有一定规律的数词。所以引导学生通过观察发现构词规律，从而进行更有效的学习。

二、教材地位作用（用知识结构图说明）

《There are forty.》一课出自外研版新标准英语（三起）第五册Module 5 Unit 2本课的语言功能是运用There are..../There is.....表达数量。在课堂上采取多种多样有趣的活动来调动学生的积极性外，选取生活中孩子们熟悉的日常事物，创设生活情景，精心设计生活化的教学活动。让学生积极参与，主动探究，大胆实践，积极合作交流，勇于创新，充分发挥学生的主体性，培养和发展他们的综合语言运用能力。

本课是外研版五年级上册的内容。本单元学习的内容是There are forty的句式结构。本课的内容是在学生对前一课书的数字的基础上进行学习的。五王续旭

年级的学生已经接触了两年英语，有一定的英语基础，属于高学段。而儿童的特性使得他们活泼好动，对新事物有着强烈的好奇心，探索知识的欲望很强烈，并且有着很强的表现欲。但由于学生之间存在着一定的差距，有个别学生的基础较弱，学习的内容会使他们感到有些吃力。因此，本节课旨在通过有趣的情景和各种活动提高学生对英语的热情和自信心。

知识目标：1、能够听、说、读、写本单元的单词

2、掌握四会单词number,happily,many，基本句型：“How many ....?There are...”

技能目标：能正确运用句型对数量进行提问和回答。

情感目标：培养学生认真观察生活，并能在实际生活中积极用英语进行交流。

教学重点：准确理解对话中的语句，掌握四会单词和基本句型，并能正确书写。

教学难点：会用“There are forty”等语句。
