Teaching Plan Unit 6 E-friends (period 1) I. Ability aim: improve students’ oral English. 3. Emotional aim: students learn to make e-friends in other countries.

--Yes, I’d like to./No, I wouldn’t. III. Teaching aids: PPT, flash, word cards, tape and so on. IV. Teaching procedure: 1. Lead-in ①Greeting. ②Let students guess the girl on the screen.And then lead in “E-friends”. ③Explain “E-friends”for students.

2. Presentation

①Teach the new words about the four national flags by presenting the pictures. ②Let students work in pairs to point and say these words. ③listen to the tape carefully and then answer these questions: Where is Joe’s e-friend? What do Joe and his e-friend like? Where is Jill’s e-friend? What do they often talk about? ④read the dialogue again and answer two questions:

Would Kitty like to have an e-friend? What would Kitty like to know about her e-friend? 3. Practice Watch the flash and then work in groups of four to do the role-play. Characters: Ms Guo, Joe, Jill and kitty. 4. Consolidation Do exercises: think and match; think and write. V. Conclusion 1. Share some sentences to let students learn to make e-friends in other countries. 2. Conclude what we have learnt today. VI. Homework 1. Read and recite the text.
