Unit 6 Turn right ! Period one Teaching aims Language knowledge and skills:
1.
The students can understand, say, read and write the new words, turn, left, right. Can understand and read the words, we and traffic policemen. 2.
Can say and use the new sentences, turn left, turn right ,what are we? Can use these sentences to ask and answer. 3.
Can read the new dialogue, and do simple performance according to the text content. Sentiment: 1.
Let the students enjoy the sense of achievement in English communication. 2.
Emotion education, know to accomplish great things, in addition to dream, must act!

Step 1
warm - up 1.
Greetings. 2.
Sing an English song “ Rabbit Dance ”. Let the students feel the new words and begin to learn in joy. 歌曲内容:Left, left, right, right,
go, turn around,
go, go go! ( 设计意图:选取与课文内容相关的歌曲Rabbit Dance进行剪辑,选取简单的歌曲内容使其更适合学生的学***。通过快乐开心的歌曲让学生感知新
单词,进入轻松的学习氛围。) Step 2
Presentation 1.
Watch a vedio and learn the new words , left , right . T: Ok! Please watch a video. What are they ? They are soldiers. ( 播放士兵视频)
T: How did the soldiers walk ? Like this! Left ,right, left, right. ( 教师模仿士兵走正步,引出left, right的学习。) The students read new words group by group. Learn to write the words correctly. ( 设计意图:利用士兵走正步的视频复习旧单词soldiers, 并且能加深学生的直观印象,自然引出left, right的学习,为学生在后面的表演环节起到引领作用。) 2.
Do some actions and learn the new sentences , turn right , turn left . (1)
The teacher shows the card, teaches the new word “ turn ”. Let the students read the new word after the teacher some times. Then play a game,Rock-Paper-Scissors. Finally , the students write the word with their fingers. ( 设计意图:在读熟单词后,玩一个趣味游戏——石头剪刀布,此游戏操练单词,能极大地调动学生的学习积极性,让学生在学中玩,玩中学,营造了积极而节奏欢快的课堂学习气氛。) (2)
Then read turn left , turn right group by group.

Listen and do . The teacher orders and the students do some acitions.

设计意图:通过此活动,训练学生根据指令快速反应的能力,并且进一步帮助学生理解句子:Turn right! Turn left!)

Play a maze game. Let the students say the new sentences .
T: Let’s play a maze game.Who’s he? He’s Lan Yangyang. Listen ! ( 点击播放录音: Hello, boys and girls. I’m Lan Yangyang. I’m very hungry. Can you help me eat the cake?) T: Ok! Let’s help him. But how should we go? How to walk? ( 设计意图:上一个活动设计是为了训练学生的听力及理解能力,此活动更进一步,训练学生不仅听懂,而且会说,会用所学的句型Turn right! Turn left!来进行走迷宫的描述。)
T: Lan Yangyang must be very happy, because the cake is so delicious.

traffic policemen (1)
Show a policeman’s picture and review the word ,policeman. Show some policemen’s pictures and notice “e ”.
T: Now, please look at the screen. What’s he ? He’s a policeman. And what are they? They are three policemen. Attention : from a to e. ( 设计意图:利用图片对比,帮助学生自然理解名词复数的概念与变化。初步了解名词复数的特殊变化规律。)

Play a guessing game. Read traffic policemen after the teacher. Let the students read these words one by one. T: Now, let’s play a guessing game. I need three students. ( 请三名同学一起上台和老师表演
traffic policemen。) Then ask, what are we?(板书句子)

( 设计意图:请三个学生和老师一起表演,通过玩几个猜谜游戏,让学生不断感知句子,Let’s play a guessing game. 询问What are we? 利用肢体语言帮助学生理解
traffic policemen.

Learn the important sentences, What are we? We are traffic policemen, Let the students ask and answer in groups.
( 设计意图:学生一边表演一边轮流问答,采用ask and answer的方式操练句子。这种形式是非常有效的操练法,可以熟练学会说句子,也可以培养学生的表演力。) 5.
Play a guessing game, hide some letters and ask the students to guess the words. Then read these words together.
T: Let’s play a guessing game , too. You can say the words as quickly as possible. ( 设计意图:将句子或单词的部分字母用卡通图片遮住,让学生用抢答的形式猜出完整的单词和句子,既巩固操练了单词、句子,对前面部分的学习进行一个检测。也激发了学生的竞争意识,提高了学习兴趣。) 6.
Listen the new dialogue once, try to understand it.

Read the text after the sound recording twice. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.

Read the text freely. The teacher checks and helps them. 9.
Read the text together. (设计意图:此部分的设计宗旨,就是给学生足够的时间去理解和朗读,跟读、自由读、齐读,采用了各种朗读形式。学生必须得到充足的时间,才能熟练朗读课文,也才能保证下一阶段的创编表演有效开展。)

The teacher and the students act out the dialogue together.
T: Now, I want group 3 and group 4 to act out part A with me. Stand up, please. We ask, and you answer.
( 设计意图:在熟读课文后,教师和部分学生表演动作,问句子。另一部分学生做出回答。进一步培养学生表演课文对话的能力。) Step 3

Expand training 1.
Group work: Growing up, the partners are talking about their careers. A group of five plays. The teacher can give them some help.
T: Growing up, you and your friends are talking about your careers.You can use
the sentences. (课件出示辅助句型。)It doesn’t matter. I ’ll help you. Let’s have a try! ( 设计意图:创设情境,长大后,和朋友们谈论职业。这既可以让学生学会在真实的语境中运用英语去交流,也可以培养学生的创编表演能力,及对语言的综合运用能力。极大地培养了学生学习英语的自信心。课件上出示辅助句型,教师在分组活动时巡视,给学生具体的帮助。) 2.

(设计意图: 给每一组学生上台展示的机会,让他们感受用英语交流、表演的成功感,增强学习英语的自信心。)
