Step 1Review

Step 2 Lead-in

Show the students some pictures and a movie Jurassic Park to raise the students' interest. After watching the movie, I give the students the question: Do you like live with dinosaurs? If students say that they would like with the dinosaurs. Then I can lead in the text . Or I can mention another word "oil or gasoline" to lead in the dinosaurs' body providing them to us to lead in the text. Now let's go into the text. Step3 reading I. Read the title and the whole text and fill in the blanks .

1.Why does the writer use the "?"(question mark) in the title?

Because he doubts whether we can _________ the dinosaurs.

survive and pass on the ability to resist that disease to the next generation. As for step4 I want the students to master the usage of the phrases by doing exercises. Especially the students can to master the usage of the phrases or sentences through the familiar things or examples .

Step5 Show your ideas Now please write down on your paper which extinct animals described below (which died out less than 10,000 years ago )are worth restoring by means of cloning . Choose one animal from the table below and use the information to help you argue why this animal should be restored to the earth.(less than 40 words)

Step6 Homework

Please write a passage about 120 words. According to the discussion, further describe why you will clone the chosen extinct animal. You can refer to P.17.

This two steps are to train the students writing skills by the writing exercises. I will exam and correct the unsuitable places after the students hand them in and remark them next class.
