Book 8 Unit 5 Learning about language (动词综合运用)教案

The analysis of the content 动词是高考重点考点，出现在各种题型中。Book 8 Unit 5复习动词时态用法。Unit3-4复习过去分词用法。本节课是Learning about language教学中的第二学时，对学生之前学习的内容进行归纳总结，主要通过语法填空的形式对动词用法进行综合训练，最后再把考点用法应用到改错题中。根据历年高考试题，在语法填空，短文改错中，动词用法每个题型至少考2道题(考点范围基本相同)。不仅如此，掌握动词的基本用法，尤其是非谓语动词的用法对增强书面表达的文采和提高阅读理解能力都有明显的作用。

Teaching material

Teaching aims:

Ability aims:1.To know how to tell predicates from non-predicates.

2.To master the usages of verbs in grammatical filling. Process and methods: By learning some basic rules and through cooperation to solve verb problems and by practising , students can master what is learned. Emotion aims: To develop students’ interest in learning and develop their ability of cooperation and at the same time, develop their ability of self-learning. Important points: The differences between predicates and non-predicates. Difficult points: How to use verbs as predicates and non-predicates in the passage. Teaching aids: Blackboard and multimedia. Teaching procedures: Step I. Lead in. Let students see some pictures, in which there are many verb mistakes made by them to introduce the topic. Step II. The analysis of teaching material

The teacher introduce the topic of learning material and let student tell the differences between predicates and non-predicates, thus drawing a conclusion how to tell them. Step III. The three tips on how to do verb problems. 1.

The tip of predicates.

Activity :students do the exercises to get the method of how to use verbs as predicates. 2.

The tip of non-predicates.

Activity :students do the exercises to get the method of how to use verbs as non-predicates and then discuss the difficult and confusing points(5points).Later, each group explain one point and the teacher point out what they should pay attention to.

The tip of word transformation.

Activity: students do the exercises to get the method of how to transform verbs in the passage and get some skills. Step IV: Consolidation. 1.a short passage containing most of the key points. 2.correction---7 problems Step V: Conclusion---review what has been learned in class. Step VI: Homework.
