A Teaching plan for Module 4 Unit 2 Project 一．教材分析：

根据国家普通高中《英语课程标准》的要求，牛津高中英语这套教材一改过去对语言知识过于偏重的倾向，从学生的角度出发，选取贴近学生生活，并与时势紧密结合的文章材料，旨在充分激发学生的学习兴趣，从而学生能积极地参与到学习过程中，并体验学习的乐趣。本单元的话题是奥运会及其参赛项目。学生将体验学习奥运会的历史以及如何让一种新的运动项目成功地进驻奥运会。

二．学情分析：

高一的学生在经过一个学期的学习之后，已经对如何学习英语有了一个基本的了解。但是，语言学习是一个长期的过程，对于高一的学生来说，重点还是在于学习策略的培养。在阅读版块中，学生已经学习如何去读演讲的材料，而这节课的重点在于如何把所学到的策略运用于自己的演讲当中。由此，新课程的理念“做中学”由此得以体现。

三．教学目标分析

知识与能力目标

通过阅读材料，学生能够说出如何让一种新的项目进入奥林匹克的三个步骤，列举出哪些项目已被出局，哪些项目新被增加。找到哪些项目有可能被加入奥林匹克的信息，并能阐述理由。

过程与方法目标

这节课是project的课型，本节课的目标在于学生通过阅读材料，小组讨论，合作总结，做一个关于如何让新的项目进入奥林匹克的演讲。

3．

情感态度与价值观

运动是一个能激发出学生学习兴趣的话题。讨论如何保护国球，学生的爱国激情得以提升。另外，学生从给出的选择中自己挑选出一个合适的运动项目，或者自己创造，并在演讲中体验学习成功的乐趣，从而学习热情得以激发。

四．学习重点以及难点

1．

学生了解如何让一种新的项目进驻奥林匹克的步骤。

在演讲的过程中注意技巧的运用，如怎样利用问题来吸引观众的注意力，语气的强弱及身体语言的得当运用。

理解国球的尴尬处境，尽可能想办法帮助国球度过难关，从而激发内心的爱国热情。

教学过程

Step 1. Lead-in 以2008年北京奥运会开幕式上林妙可的歌声开篇，清脆的歌声紧紧地抓住了学生的注意力，好象又把他们带到了那一个又一个令人激动人心的时刻。由歌声引入话题，从而激发他们进一步探索和学习的热情。教师提及有两个项目于2012

年的伦敦奥运会被取消，势必有新的项目被增加，那么如何使新的项目被加入到奥运会呢？由问题引入到课文的学习。

Step 2. Fast-reading 快速阅读，理清思路。教师可提及小标题的重要性，通过小标题来分析文章结构。

Step 3 Detailed reading 根据文章设计问题，学生通过默读，齐读，自我朗读等多种阅读方式来获取信息，为自己的演讲做内容上的准备。

Step 4 Competition 对课文理解之后，教师告之学生我们的国球乒乓球的尴尬处境，让学生自己想办法来挽救我们的国球。这一步继续为最后学生的演讲做内容和形式上的准备。在形式上可以采用小组竞争的方式，利用他们的好胜心，促使更多的学生积极参与进来，从而激发他们的爱国热情。

Step 5. Make a speech 课文理解和小组竞赛为最后的演讲作好了铺垫。教师给出选择项目，或者学生自己创造一个项目去竞选参加2012年的伦敦奥运会。学生就该项目要加入奥运会的各项理由做一个演讲。在该环节中，教师注意指出学生在演讲中该注意的细节。

Step 6: Homework 课堂上的活动只限于几位同学把自己的成果展示出来。所以，为了帮助更多的同学展示自己的想法和成果，利用作业的形式，让学生把课堂上所讨论的以及自己的想法用书面表达的形式呈现出来。下一节课的评讲能进一步巩固本节课的内容，并能提高学生的写作能力。

Entering a new sport into the Olympics

Teaching Plan (Advance with English Module 4) Analysis of the Text:

This unit introduces and develops the theme of sporting events. The project of this unit is an article about how a sport can enter the Olympics. After reading this material, students will give a speech about which sport they think should or should not be in the Olympics and then explain the reasons. The speech provides students with more opportunities to practise their oral English. Meanwhile, it is a good chance to strengthen the ability of cooperation with other students.

Teaching Aims: After this class, students are supposed to: 1). speak out the three steps to enter a new sport into the Olympics

list some sport events that have been removed from the Olympics and the reasons

list the sport events that are included in the Olympics again and the reasons

speak out which sport is likely to be added to the Olympics and discuss the possible reasons. 2). cooperate with each other to discuss the ways of protecting our national ball from being removed and make a successful speech about a would-be Olympic event. When making the speech, pay attention to the strategies, the language and the body language as well. 3). develop an interest in leaning English through all kinds of activities. Meanwhile, their enthusiasm for our counties will be aroused.

Teaching Procedures: Step 1. Lead-in

1.Play a song sung by a lovely girl Lin miaoke in the 2008 Olympic Games to catch the students attention and arouse their interests. 2.Ask the questions:

Do you like the song? Are you proud of the 2008 Olympic Games? Can you name some sport events that you are interested in? for example, football, basketball. Then teacher shows pictures to motivate students to speak. 3.

Good. There are all together 28 sport events in the 2008 Olympic Games. However, there are two sport events that will be removed from the 2012 Olympic Games. Do you know ? What are they? 4.

Ask volunteers to answer, then show the pictures of baseball and softball. 5.

Ok. Two sport events will be removed, so another two will be added to. So, today our task is to enter a new sport event to the 2012 Olympic Games. 设计思路: 小朋友的歌曲能引起学生的共鸣，吸引他们的注意力，激发他们学习的兴趣。由歌曲导入到奥运会的运动项目，在头脑风暴中让学生说出熟悉的运动项目的名称，接着老师告知学生在2012年运动会中将有两个项目被取消，这节课的任务是找出一个新的项目使之加入奥运会，并对此做演讲。导入中明确这节课的目的和任务，足以激发学生的好奇心。

Several days ago, the world table tennis cup ended in

Japan. Not surprisingly, almost all the gold medals belong to Chinese athletes. Therefore, not many people were willing to watch the game. Worse still, some netizens even suggest removing the table tennis from the 2012 London Olympic

教学后记：

这节课的课型是project, 一般来说project的课型要分为两个课时，第一节课进行课文的理解，第二节课再根据课文的理解做出成果来。但这篇文章比较特殊，篇幅不长，对于高一的学生来说，理解起来基本没有问题，所以，这节课就定位在半节课处理课文，半节课活动。不管是课文的理解，还是活动的开展，围绕的目标只有一个，学生能成功地做完一个关于如何让一种新的项目进驻奥运会的演讲。整个课堂能够紧紧地围绕这个目标，通过提问，小组讨论，合作竞赛等多种教学形式，激发学生的学习兴趣，学生也能积极主动地参与到课堂活动中来。另外，图片资源的利用也极大地调动了学生的兴趣。
