The Story Teaching aims: 1.Pupils can read and act out the story. 2.Ps can use the key sentence patterns to make out a new story and can act out the story in groups.

Teaching key points: Past tense, I had a lucky day. First,...Next,...Then,...After that,.... Teaching difficulty: How to act out the story in groups.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1:Warming up. 1.Invite a student to give a speech in the front.

2.Ask and answer questions about the speech.

Step 2:Learn the story. 1.Checking preparation.

T:Do you prepare the story? Which sentence you can read? 2.Have Ps share preparation in groups and ask some groups to write down the key points of the story on the blackboard. 3.Invite the group leaders to introduce the key points for the class. 4.Read the story in a whole class 5.Ask and answer questions about the story.

Step 3:Acting competition. 1.Give 3 minutes to ps to practise their own story in groups. 2.Have Ps act out the story or their new story in groups. 3.Acting competition.

Step 4:Homework 1.Read the story after class. 2.Act out your own story in groups.
