Unit 9 Numbers Lesson 1 How many birds are there? 教学目标: 1.知识目标:(1)能够说出单词:birds, eggs, flowers, one, two, three, four, five. (2)能够询问和说明物品的数量:How many ... are there? There are ... / There is a ..., too. 2.能力目标: 能够在插图的帮助下理解并朗读小故事。
3.情感目标:鼓励学生大胆开口说英语,培养学生的自信心。
教学重点:
1. 理解并认读词汇:one, two, three, four, five, birds, eggs, nest, flowers. 2. 询问数量的句型:How many …are there? There are... / There is ... 教学过程:
I. Warm-up & Lead-in 1. Greetings. T: Hello, boys and girls! Nice to meet you! Ss: Hello. Nice to meet you! 2. Sing a song T: Today we are going to learn Unit 9 Lesson 1 How many birds are there? I will devide you into 4 groups and at last let’s see which group can win. And there are many prizes for you. Before that, let’s sing a song with Mocky. Ss: (Sing the song) T: So great, boys and girls. But where is Mocky? Let’s go to find him out. Ok? Ss: Yes. Let’s go. 设计意图:通过齐唱已学的歌曲,让学生放松,活跃课堂气氛。
II. Presentation 1. Enjoy the story (First watching) (1). Watching the story T:Who are they?

Ss: Mocky and Lulu. T: What can they see? Now let’s enjoy the story and try to understand the story. Look, listen and be quiet, please. Ss: (Watching the story). (2). Overall perception feedback T: That’s all for the story. Do you find out what Mocky and Lulu see in the forest? S1: 小鸟/ birds ...... S2: 鸟蛋/ egg...... S3: No. Ss: ....... T: Well done boys and girls, here are the prizes for you. Some of you find out the things in the story, but some don’t. So let’s learn the story by each picture. 设计意图:整体感知文本,让学生初步感知本课中出现的知识点,为后续学习新知埋下伏笔。
2. Learn the text ( Second watching) Step 1. Learn the new word: birds, and the sentence: How many... are there? T: What can you see in the picture? S1: Birds / 小鸟。
T: Yes, there are many birds in the tree. Now let’s read this word together and then read it one by one. Ss: (read “birds” one by one). T:Great, boys and girls. And how many birds are there? (板书)Read this sentence together. Ss: (read the sentence). T: When we want to know the quantities of something, we can ask how many... are there? Let’s watch the story of this part again. Ss: (watch the story). Step 2. Learn the words: three & nest, and the sentence: There are...

T: Now, let’s count how many birds are there. One, two, three. So there are three.(板书)
Ss: There are three. T: Anything else in the picture can you see? S1: 鸟窝/ nest. T: Yes, you’re so clever and there is a prize for you. Let’s read the word “nest” together and then read it by high and low voice. Ss: ( read nest by high and low voice). T: Let’s watch the story of this part again. Step 3. Learn the new words: eggs & five T: Do you know what can Mocky find in the nest? S1: Egg/ 鸟蛋。
T: Yes. And please read eggs together first and then read one by one. (板书)
Ss: (read eggs one by one). T: You all read very well. And how many eggs are there? Ss:... T: It’ doesn’t matter. Let’s count together. One, two, three... So, there are five. Ss: There are five. T: Let’s count again with me. One, two, three... Ss: (repeat and count). T: Let’s watch the story of this part again. Step 4. Learn the new word: flowers T: Boys and girls, you’ve done a good job. And now what you find? Ss: Flowers / 鲜花。
T: Let’s learn this word together. Ss: (read flowers). T: And, how many flowers are there? Let’s count together. Ss: One, two, three...

T: We can’t count clear how many flowers there are. So we can say there are amny flowers. Reapeat this sentence, please. Ss: ( Reapeat the sentence). T: Oh, Mocky is doing the very dengerous action. We should remind him and say what? S1: 危险。 T: Yes, we should say “Be careful”. Ss: Be careful. T: Let’s watch the story of this part again. Step 5. Safety education T: But it’s too late. Mocky has fallen down from the tree. So boys and girls, please remember that we should never do the dengerous actions like Mocky. Ss: Yes. T: Let’s watch the story of this part again. 设计意图:通过逐图询问问题考察学生的提取信息的能力,反馈学生对于对话内容是否理解,进一步理解对话内容。同时在文本中学习本课重要句型,在句子中学习单词,尽量做到句不离篇,词不离句。
3. Listen and repeat (Third watching) (1). Watch the story for the third time T: Great,boys and girls. We all understand the main idea of the text. Now, let’s watch the story for the third time. And you can read after the tape. Ss: (watch, listen and repead). (2)
. Role play. T: I found some of you read very well. First of all, let’s read the text together and then I want to some of you to read in roles. Ss: (read the text). 设计意图:听录音指读对话,都是为了使学生能够正确认读单词及句型,培养正确的语音语调;而角色扮演读对话能给学生充分的自读时间,便于学生理解、消化,并能及时发现学生可能存在的错误,进行纠错。
III. Practice 1. Learn to Say

(1). Say the names of the animals in the picture T: Do you hear the voice? Ss: Birds’. T: Maybe. Let’s go and have a look. T: There are many animals in the picture. Do you know them? Please say the names of them. S1: Birds. S2: Rabbit. S3: Cow. Ss: ... T: Yes. You are so clever. Now let’s look at the examples and try to remember the numbers. Ss: (watch the flash). (2). Learn to say T: Can you remember the numbers from1 to 5? let’s read them with me. Ss: (learn the numbers from 1 to 5). T: And let’s look at the examples. One, two...So, we can ask how...? Ss: How many birds are there? T: And we can answer there... Ss: There are four. T: Who wants to have a try? Ss: ... 设计意图:让学生能够巩固所学新知,加深对句型及数字的理解与记忆。
2. Count the stickers of each group T: let’s count your stickers together. Ss: One, two, three... T: Group X win the competition, claps for them. 设计意图:让学生初步能够学以致用,利用所学新知,来询问及回答简单的物品的数量问题。

IV. Homework 1. 向家人展示自己跟读模仿课文录音的情况。
2. 用今天所学知识数一数自己的学习用品的数量。
设计意图:让学生能够大胆的开口说英语,向家人展示,能增加学生学习英语成就感。同时让学生数一数自己的学习用品,将所学知识与实际生活紧密联系。
