Lesson 16 How Do You Go to School? Ⅰ.Analysis of the teaching material（教材分析

）: This is a text of Grade Four,mainly about modes of transportation for going to school.The content is next to our life and it provides a good talk about the topic for the children of Grade Four. Ⅱ.Analysis of the students（学生分析）: The students of Grade Four already have a certain vocabulary about vehicles.And they are really familiar with their usual transportation.So it would be easy for them to grasp the new knowledge and they would have much to talk during the class. Ⅲ.Teaching aims and demands（教学目标）

1. Knowledge of the target: New words: foot ,on foot, by New sentence patterns: How do you go to school?

I go to school by....../ I go to school on foot.

Do you go to school on foot? 2.The ability of the target:

Through this class, students can use the new sentence patterns correctly to describe that how they go to school. 3.Emotional Culture:

Though this class, to improve students’ environment awareness. Ⅳ.Teaching key and difficult points（教学重难点）

Key points: Master the new words and new sentence patterns. Difficult points: Free to describe the way of going to school. Ⅴ. Teaching process（教学过程）

Review the words about vehicles we learned before with some pictures and toy material objects.

Step 3.Presentation

Show the picture of one foot,and ask students “what is this?”

Ss:脚

T: Yes. It is a foot.(领读

Show the picture of feet,and ask students “what are they?”

Ss: They are feet.

呈现on foot 图片，by+交通工具的图片，学习on foot 和介词by。

❷Let's do

First, listen to the tape and look at the pictures of part 1 to answer the questions: How does Kim/Jenny /Danny /Steven go to school?

Then,show a picture in my hand.(I go to school by car.)

T: Who is she?

Ss: It's you.

T: Yes. It's me. I go to school by car everyday. How do you go to school?(板书并领读，确认学生理解其句子意思）

引导学生用“I go to school by ____/on foot.”句型回答。

S1：I go to school by bus.

S2: I go to school on foot.

...........

Third.Pair work:

I will show the pictures of “on foot, by bus, buy car, by taxi, by bike...”for students to practice. Then I will invite some pairs to show to us and say“great”to them .

Listen to the tape of part 2and try to sing.

❹Let's act

Group work :

Each group should have a reporter to interview other members and make a chart. Then some groups could show to us. And I will give them a thumb.

Draw a picture to show that how you go to school.Then some volunteers can show their pictures then others guess their ways of going to school. Step4: Summary and Homework（课堂总结及课后作业）

Ask three students to have a summary about the key points of this lesson.

Do you walk to school? 教学反思：

本课是在学生已掌握的几种交通工具基础上，增加一些和交通方式相关的新词汇和描述性词汇，并在此基础上培养学生实际应用语言的能力。针对这两部分不同的内容，我采用了不同的教学方法。

第一部分讲授交通工具时我采用的是直观教学法。通过实物、图片展示交通工具。使学生在学习的同时培养他们的观察力和注意

力。在操练句型时，我采用配对练习，小组练习以及作图多种操练方式，让学生在不同的活动中，在兴趣的同时，感知语言习得语言，熟练地操练了这一句型。并且由于每组中学生的知识水平不同，通过合作学习，互帮互助，与此同时培养团队意识，提高环保意识。

在整个教学环节我也及时给予学生鼓励和肯定，以此提高他们的积极性，增强信心。

但本节课也有些许不足，因为课堂活动较多，所以节奏比较紧凑，部分成绩不理想的同学会觉得跟不上节奏；并且同学们在练习口语的过程中会时不时的加入许多中文语言，比如“嗯。。”，在今后的教学中我也会多注意，多指导争取早日帮同学们改掉这一陋习。
