本单元的核心话题是描述动物和表达个人喜好，以及句式Why do you like …？Because …。这也是本单元的教学重点。通过本单元的学习，学生应能较流利地运用所学词汇和句型描述动物，表达个人喜好。

学习本单元的词汇，用what、why、where引导的特殊疑问句，用because表示原因以及形容词的使用。

准确使用形容词对自己感兴趣的事物进行描述。
