Teaching activities 3a，3b，3c These two parts are designed to train students’ listening skill.

(1)Listen and number the pictures[1－8]．

(2)Listen and complete the words under the pictures in 3a. (3)Check the answers with students by asking and answering

questions like this：

T：Look at Picture 1.What's this in English? Ss：It's a key. T：Spell it，please. Ss：K－E－Y. …

(4)Listen to 3c and repeat. Help students learn the meaning of “spell” and how to pronounce. Step3 Guessing game Guessing game: Play a game with students, so students can be trained to use language knowledge flexibly and have the courage to innovate. Step4 Practice Teaching activity 3d. (1)Listen to 3d and repeat. (2)Listen to the conversations and number the words you hear[1－4]．

Step5 Consolidation Teaching activity 3e. This part is designed to train students’ speaking and cooperative skill by working on pairs. (1)

Play a guessing game about the picture in 3e. (2)

Let them talk about the things in the picture with their partner. (3)

Ask some students to act them out in class.
