Unit 2 Colours (The second period)

Teaching contents:

Let’s learn & Let’s do.

Teaching objectives:

1、Can listen,say and read:red, yellow, green and blue.

2、Can understand and do the actions with “Show me……”.

3、Through to study the color words :red, green, yellow, blue to expand the recognition of other colours of the words:brown, black, white.

学情分析

在前一单元的学习中,学生已掌握了有关文具方面的单词和一些简单的问候、介绍,大部分同学对英语已表现出浓厚的学习兴趣,对未知的知识有求知欲望,所以学生已经积累了一些语言基础和学习能力。考虑到部分学生的接受能力稍弱,在Chant and colour部分,对这部分学生要求至少能听懂,降低难度和要求,以满足不同层次学生的需要。在教学中,教师应该以学生的发展为宗旨,以培养学生的创新精神和实践能力为重点,面向全体学生,始终把激发学生的学习兴趣放在首位。

Teaching points and difficulties:

1. Can look,listen and say the words:red, yellow, green and blue.

2. Can use the sentence structure:I see red/ yellow / green/ blue.and Show me red/ yellow/ green/blue. to consolidate the

colours of the words.:red, yellow, green and blue. Teaching methods:

Reading, listening, singing and chanting.

Teaching materials:

Word cards, Stationery objects,CAI.

Teaching procedure:

一.Warm - up

1. Listen and sing a song “Colours song.”

设计目的:用歌曲来来调动学生的英语学习兴趣,为后面教授单词做铺垫。

2. Make greetings with each other.

设计目的:通过复习旧知,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生相互交流。

二.Presentation

1. T shows a CAI of traffic lights and ask: What colour can you see?

S1: I can see red.

T: Good! It’s red.(Learn to say : “red, red, I see red”.Guide the students say“I see red.”

2. Use the say way to teach “yellow and green”and the sentence structure:“I see yellow/ green.”

设计目的:通过观察交通灯的颜色来学习表示颜色的单词,从而使学生在真情实景中更好地学习。

3. T: Look! This is a traffic light. What colour do you see? S2: I see red.

T: Great! This is a red light.(Red light, red light, stop, stop, stop.)Use the body language to chant and do the actions.

4. T: Look at the traffic light. What colour do you see? S2: I see yellow.

T: Very good! This is a yellow light.(Yellow light, yellow light, wait, wait, wait.)Use the body language to chant and do the actions.

5. T: Look at the traffic light. What colour do you see? S2: I see green.

T: Bingo! This is a green light.(Green light, green light, go, go, go.)Use the body language to chant and do the actions. 6. T: Let’s chant: Obey the traffic rules

Ss: Red light, red light, stop, stop, stop. Yellow light, yellow light, wait, wait, wait. Green light, green light, go, go, go. 7.T: If everyone can obey the traffic rules, the traffic will be very smooth. We should start from us.

设计目的:对学生进行思想教育:我们要准守交通规则,必须从我做起。

8.T: If everyone can protect the flowers and plants, the world will become colourful. Look at the flower. How beautiful! What colour do you see?

S3:I see blue.

T: Wow! It’s a beautiful blue flowers.(Learn to say : “blue, blue, I see blue”.)

设计目的:对学生进行思想教育:我们要热爱大自然,保护大自然,我们的家园将会变得更美丽。

三. Consolidation

1. Exercises: Match the colours and the words.

设计目的:通过看颜色选单词连线来巩固学生是否掌握单词的形和义。

2. Game 1: Golden eyes(Look at the balloons quickly and say out the rigth colour. Practice the colours words and the sentence structure:“I see/ red/ yellow/ green/ blue.)

3.Listen,look and say the words and the sentences in “Let’s learn”.

4. Game 2: Look and say: Look at the pictures ,say out the colours words and learn the sentence structures “red, red, show me red. Guide the study show the materials of red and learn

to say “red, red, show me red.”and practice the sentence structure:I see a red bag. (Use the same way to learn and practice the other colours.)

设计目的:通过各种丰富多彩的小游戏,加深对新知的理解,培养学生在生活中运用语言的能力以及分析问题和解决问题的能力。

5.Listen and do“Let’s do”

设计目的:通过教师或学生发指令,学生听到指令后做出正确的反应来巩固生词,训练学生的听力、反应能力、动手能力以及综合运用语言的能力。

四.Summary and extension

1. Let’s chant.(Revise the new words and the sentences.)

2. Sing a song “Red, yellow, blue ,green and brown ”

3. Today we had learned four colour words. Do you know the other words of colours.( Extensive the other colours.)

设计目的:通过总结、归纳本节课学习的内容,让学生明确知道今天所学的知识,并拓展学习其它颜色的单词。

五.Homework

1. Introduce the colours at your home. If you don’t know, you can ask your family or surf the Internet.

2. Sing the colour song for your families or friends.
