一、教材分析

本课是外研社新标准英语(一起)五年级下册M8U2 I made a kite .修订版教材第八模块第二单元的内容,本模块主要围绕制作风筝送给将要去拜访的亲人这一主题展开,本课呈现了大明如何制作风筝的步骤。

二、学情分析

本册书的教授对象是小学五年级的学生,他们已经学习了四年半的英语。他们对英语学习有一定的兴趣,并具备一定的英语知识,也具有了一定的自学能力和语言组织能力,但是在灵活应用上还有欠缺;这一年龄段的孩子好胜心强,集体荣誉感也强,因此在设计上采用从听说入手,创设情景、设计动手制作等激发学生学习兴趣;同时为了满足不同层次学生的需求,内容设计面向全体学生,做到由易到难,让学生在愉快、民主、宽松的氛围中得到不同程度的提升。

三、教学目标

1、语言技能

全体学生能够运用所学知识描述做风筝的步骤,并能够从所学内容拓展到其他已做事情步骤的描述。

2、语言知识

(1)听、说、读、写单词drew(draw的过去式);听、说、认读单词scissors, tied, stick, painted, piece, string。

(2)听、说、读、写并运用一般过去时的陈述句描述过去的事情,如:I drew a piece of yellow paper. I painted it.

3、情感态度

通过多种形式,培养学生学习英语的兴趣;渗透西方节日文化,热爱中国传统文化。4、学习策略

单词的教授采用的是词不离句、句不离篇的教学形式,让全班孩子学会在自然的情景中运用一般过去时描述过去发生的事情。以英语学习为载体,感知文化,习得策略。

5、文化意识

风筝属于中国的传统文化之一,以此为契机介绍一些西方文化,了解中西文化的不同。四、教学重、难点

1、重点

(1). 重点:重点掌握4个四会单词。用英语描述大明制作风筝的过程。

(2). 难点:运用一般过去时的陈述句描述过去的事情。

2、难点

本单元的新词和几个动词过去式。用英语描述大明制作风筝的过程。

PPT课件,CD-ROM,卡纸。

六、教学过程

(一)复习导入Revision and lead in(5分钟)

1. Revision

T: Good morning, everyone! At first, let’s fill the blanks, OK! S: OK!

2. Listen and chant.

T: What did the girl do?

S: She made a kite for her sisiter.

教师带领学生一起学习教材第一部分Listen and chant。

【设计意图】复习上一节课的内容,教师通过问答的方式,问出上节课重点学习的句型,通过这样的问答,唤起学生对上一节课对话的记忆,同时也复习了上一节课重点的语法知识点will you…;同时通过这个话题可以自然的过渡到本节课中第一部分的内容,通过观察图片和看视频,说出小女孩为妹妹做了风筝,引出今天的重点学习内容。此活动既活跃了课堂气氛拉近了师生间的距离,也为后面的教学铺垫。

3. Lead in.

T: Boys and girls, I have so much colorful paper. Look, a piece of red paper, a piece of yellow paper.

S: a piece of green paper / a piece of white paper……

接着板书a piece of 并学习, 然后让学生利用自己手中的彩纸来练习a piece of yellow/red/green paper 等等。然后老师拿起准备好的图画(在一张黄色纸上画着一条龙) 进行如下对话:

T: Look, what’s this?

S: a dragon

T: I drew a dragon on a piece of yellow paper. (板书句子并领读)

T: What did you draw?

S: I drew a on a piece of paper. (学生快速在自己的彩纸上画一些简单的图画并根据自己的画操练重点句型)

I drew an apple on a piece of yellow paper, I drew a book on a piece of red paper…….

【设计意图】学习本课新词piece和相关短语a piece of…, 一是为了导入新课,二是为了分散新的知识点,降低学习难度,从而为课文学习做好铺垫。

(二)任务呈现Task presentation(2 分钟)

T: Today we’ll learn how to make a dragon kite. Then let’s learn more western culture and finish a poster about how to make a Halloween mask.

【设计意图】教师通过复习上一节课的内容,顺利的过渡到今天学习的做龙风筝这一话题,引出今天要学习的新内容。然后告诉孩子们,我们今天的任务是学习如何做风筝。然后拓学习了解西方文化,最后完成一个关于万圣节面具的海报。

(三)课文学习Text learning(10分钟)

1. Listen and answer。

T: Well children, I drew a dragon on a piece of paper. Daming drew a dragon, too.

Why did Daming draw a dragon?

S: He made a dragon kite.

【设计意图】让学生带着问题整体感知课文,了解课文主旨大意。

2. Repeat,answer and learn new words.

T: This time let’s read the dialogue after the CD—ROM and answer the questions.

What did Daming use?

How did Daming make a kite?

S: Read the dialogue and answer the questions.(小组讨论)

T: What did Daming use?

S1 S2 S3 …: a piece of yellow paper, scissors, sticks, strings.

【设计意图】将新词放在句子中学习,遵循词不离句,句不离篇的教学原则,让全班孩子学会在自然的情景中运用一般过去时描述过去发生的事情,学生更容易接受。

【设计意图】通过说唱的形式练习做风筝相关的动词和短语,避免了机械练习的枯燥,同时又能帮住学生将做风筝的步骤练习得郎朗上口,激发学生学习的热情。

5. Can you retell(复述)? Key words: drew painted cut put tied could 【设计意图】首先通过填空的方式巩固文章中的动词过去式和做风筝的步骤,然后再通过关键单词和图片来复述课文,让学生用不同的方法和不同的形式多次巩固文章,复述文章时可以采用小组合作的形式,从而使不同层次的学生都能有所收获,而后掌握本篇文章。(四)训练巩固Practice(10分钟)

【设计意图】通过学习Lingling剪纸的步骤,进一步学习用过去时描述已做事情的步骤。同时加上一些表示先后顺序的连接词,让做事情的步骤更加清晰明了,为日后学生的写作打下坚实的基础。

(五)任务完成Task completion(10分钟)

(一)We made a Jack-o’-Lantern.

First, we cut off the top of the pumpkin. Then, we scoop(用铲[勺]等挖(洞等))out the inside of the pumpkin. And then, we draw a face with a pencil. After that, we carve the pumpkin with knife. At last, we put an candle in the pumpkin.

【设计意图】:教师给出做万圣节南瓜灯的步骤,但是由于有些难度,故设计成了阅读理解题,进一步让学生练习巩固制作东西的步骤,这样降低了难度,不同层次的学生都能有所收获。不至于让学困生望而生却。

【设计意图】:让学生通过动手制作一张万圣节面具的宣传海报,运用小组合作的方式,让每个孩子都动起来,给学生提供实践和语言输出的机会。这个过程不仅学习了做事情的步骤,还在无形中渗透了西方文化,让学生进一步了解西方文化。

(六)小结与布置作业Summary and homework(3分钟)

让学生先来说一说本节课学习的内容,教师最后进行总结性的概括。
